(at least we always put things like that on the bottom shelf of the fridge. now.)
Always on a plate. Easier to clean bloody goo off a plate than the fridge!!

That moment when you tell the person you are talking to on the phone, "Hang on, let me find my phone."

Yeah, I always put defrosting meat on a couple of paper towels on the bottom shelf of the fridge.

That moment when you opt for Paypal at checkout, and only then realize you've received new debit cards with chips in them but never updated the info at Paypal...

Accidentally logging into Ventrilo (voice chat) instead of iTunes and having to pretend to be social when I just wanted to listen to music.

(Yes, I could have just said 'Oops, wrong button, seeya later', but it seemed rude at the time.)

...you sign onto the Watch, full of creative spark to respond (earnestly or snarkily, as appropriate) to the posts of others...and find yourself without an original thought when presented with no new posts.

No worries; I'm still able to pretend I know what to do with a Friday evening when my home-in-the-intertubes has a cricket-chirp soundtrack.

A snark is a terrible thing to waste.

Yeah, I know that one...it's a lot easier to join in a conversation than it is to start one. :D

when you realize it has been a month since Watch visits, even though you intend to log on each night. but work has a black out and you get home late. or work has a lock down and you get home late. or someone calls in to work and you get home late.

...that moment when the bowl you left unstably balanced on top of piles of papers on the bread box on an unstable rack decides to topple the whole thing and hurl itself at the floor!

...that moment when you step on a cockroach, barefoot, and it goes *pop* as its innards explode. (Yes, that moment happened for me this very morning.)

I can feel it.

BRB, washing feet.

I live in a rather... icky neighborhood, and it's pitch black when I walk to the train station in the morning. That pop/crunch is a very familiar sensation, though thankfully I have yet to experience it unshod. A couple of weeks ago I tripped over a live rat. I don't know if it was just sitting in the middle of the sidewalk, or if it was running across, but my foot connected with it quite solidly and we both squeaked. It ran and squeezed under the door of a nearby restaurant, apparently unharmed. 8O

Yeah, we seem to have some rats around...at least, I assume so since my cat brings one home every now and then. He hasn't for some time though, touch wood.
