We've had a Tchibo coffee maker at work (for customer sales) and due to a refit and upgrade we had free ground coffee for a week or so to use up remaining stock. Within two days I was sick of it and returned to my own freeze dried instant. We've now got a Costa machine coming, but I think it unlikely to be any better. I'm a big coffe drinker and have a good palate to boot. This machine made coffee may be nice as a one off, but don't beat a jar (or better a standard cafeteria with grounds) in the long haul.
The truth is a Lion and does not need protection. Once free it will look after itself.
