I've seen it said, and it's probably true, that the main thing against Suicide Squad will be that it's not releasing in China. More and more it's Chinese performance that decides the success of blockbusters.

I liked the movie so much that I saw it twice at the Cineplex, only time I have ever done that.
not enough Joker, but there are teases that a director's cut will be available on disk. I expect a sequel and a Harley spin-off.

I saw it again today, I still love it.

I guess you don't like Robin then. Or Rick Jones, Bucky Barns, Jimmy Olsen, Batgirl, Ben Grimm, James Rhodes, Black Widow, Green Arrow, Hit Girl.....

Apparently a lot of Joker content did get cut and I already heard the rumors of a Harley movie.

Still haven't seen it. At this point, if I want to see it I'll just have to go to the theater without Ms. Lebwohl instead of playing Magic some night.

Re: Harley movie, Margot Robbie is reportedly gunning hard for a all-female team film inspired by things like Birds of Prey and Gotham City Sirens.

DC should definitely do a Birds of Prey movie.

For all the nay sayers prior to the release, the film seems to be going down well with all the people I've spoken to who've seen it. I'm pleased about this coz I always felt it had the potential to be a fun watch. Looking forward to seeing it all the more now. :)

I agree. Though it seems certain now I will see it via VOD when it becomes available.

My son (13) and I saw it.
We both loved it.
I knew none of the characters but I was brought up to speed pretty quick and it seemed pretty solid to me.
I'm not a fan of the Joker in general but this one was pretty good.

Yep, pretty much spot on. Doesn't invalidate my view, really. I am not obligated to like her, dAN.

I'm not trying to obligate you; I just think it's a good movie made better by Robbie's' portrayal of Harley. But, I just realized I won't go see the Ghostbuster movie, even though it got good reviews and my friends say it's great.

Sorry dAN. I didn't mean to get irritated at you.

I'm not sure about the reviews; a lot of those I saw were ambivalent or hated the movie - Red Letter Media really reviewed the movie well. But yeah, I won't see it either.

Finally saw it and certainly agree that the lass playing Harley made a fine job of it. All in all a fun couple of hours and while I don't have the comic background to fully appreciate the fine points of detail in the film, I'd certainly be up for a second round if one is forthcoming! :)

I'd love to see a sequel, but the only thing DC has mentioned (that I've heard) is doing Harlequin movie, starring Margot Robbie, of course.

She does seem to have cornered the role in that part!

And it will be an Extended Cut (13 min).
