I read something about this about 20 years ago saying something about Armadillos in texas carrying leprosy and they tried to associate it with them eating the tobacco juice from people who chewed and spit on the ground..again this was over 20-25 years ago..going to try to look it up to see if I can find the info

my great grandmother did snuff. had each of us kids try it at some point.
