Waylander is definitly the coolest character that Gemmell has written. Druss might be a good fighter but he's a bit simple for my liking. Waylander has more depth to me
Agreed. Waylander and Shannow are probably the two deepest characters Gemmell has written, IMO. They are actually quite similar in some respects, but where Waylander (at least in the beginning) was completely amoral, Shannow was very moral and just had a curious way of expressing it.
