How
does one pull the ears off a gundark?

I would suggest anesthetizing the critter first.

I'd like to know why one would be inclined to rip the ears off of a living creature. Bloody savages. Of course Han was only suggesting that Luke was strong enough to perform such a vile act. I don't think he was suggesting that Luke actually do the terrible deed.

Gundark
a four-armed anthropoid known for its incredible strength, gundarks were semi-intelligent beings which were believed to be originally native to the planet Kashyyyk. In addition to their four strong arms, gundarks were also known for their
large ears and forbidding face. The average gundark stood 1.5 meters tall, and moved about on its two primary arms. Born with these arms and a pair of stubby, single-clawed legs, gundarks grew a second pair of arms during puberty. At this time also, their
ears grew substantially, and their strength reached its maximum point. Gundarks hunted with their excellent vision and ferocious cries, using loud vocalizations to stun their prey before attacking. Although it was sometimes possible to avoid a gundark attack, any gundark which had its bloodlust awakened would stop at nothing to tear its prey limb from limb.

I'm not going anywhere near this sucker, never mind its ears. It was wise of Luke not to take up Han's suggestion. "Really, Han? You think I could? I've never gone gundark hunting before. Sounds like fun! Maybe when this whole Hoth thing blows over, you could show me!"
"Uh...yeah...whatever, kid."

Luke was such an easy mark, it was almost not fun picking on him.
Almost.

This thread should be deleted in order to make the sci-fi forum richer.

Uh, see my post in the "Assimilations" thread for what I think about this one too.

Well, I may indeed remove this thread. I would like to point out that the reason I started it was because Revan was deleting all of my posts in Star Wars, and I wanted a place to talk about Lucas' famous creation without worrying if it was gonna all be erased. So, if I delete this thread, then I will be guilty of doing what I railed against Revan for doing. If I move it to Star Wars, then I put it under the control of Revan, which would also be at cross-purposes with my original intent. However, if I do not remove this thread, then I am not enriching this forum, but that's okay, because I never actually said I wanted to do that anyway, Loremaster. But, if you are really concerned about it, and you think it will enrich this forum, I will remove your posts. Also, if I publicly stated that I was for the enrichment of forums, I'd sure like to see that statement. not that I'm against it, mind you, but I would sure like to know what you're talking about.

Should this thread remain stickied?

Yes. It needs to serve as a monument to the Hitleresque rule of the Empire, as evidenced in the Star Wars/Trek forum those long months ago. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say that this thread had a lot to do with deposing the "old ruler" of SW/ST. We must never forget.

In case you were wondering, I moved the 2 interesting Star Wars threads to the Star Wars Forum, and deleted the uninteresting Star Wars thread.

OK, not to be a complete boob, but where is the 'Star Wars forum'? Is this not the SW thread?...
