lol, Jem...sounds like something my boyfriend would say...Tallin and I bond over RPG games..he got me hooked on them
Men who feel that "women who have the capacity to feel deeply for something are far better companions than the hordes of superficial chicks" are far better companions (because of their deeper emotional capacity) than men who want the hordes of superficial chicks.

It's true. I'm a very emotional guy, I have to admit, and when I try to communicate on an emotional level with most other guys, I get nothing but confusion and discomfort. It's like they're all crippled or something
emotions are beautiful. (see how I stay on topic

Well, here I am. Thanks Jem for inviting me to this forum. I am a 34 year old eclectic Paan and relatively new to the Watch. Hail and well met, all.

Thats Pagan, not Paan. I am also a terrible typist. What exactly constitutes a "nerd girl" anyway? I am trying to see if I fit the description......

If you're trying to see if you fit the description, then it's too late, you're already a nerd gurl.
This is the world is beautiful thread!

What's beautiful in the world, to you?

My daughter, my goddess, my worship circle. Trees, lakes, mountains, forests, TC novels.............I could go on and on. Music, poetry, fire (well contained fire, that is), friends, drumming. There's a lot that is beautiful- I just have to remember to stop and think about those things once in a while. My life is pretty hectic and I get to caught up in the day to day bs and forget to relax, meditate and refresh my spirit.

Welcome aboard Kymbierlee, glad to have you here. Nice to see a representative of the "Old" religions, the Watch numbers far too few amongst the christians and the athiests, and another perspective is always welcome.
The world is beautiful, because it contains so much beauty

The world is beautiful...
...when the morning is chill and frost covers the trees, making them sparkle more clearly than diamonds in the pale sunlight.
...when the snow is moved by the wind across the field outside my window, and the mountains seem larger in the clear, cold air.
*sigh* it's mornings like that that make me so eager to get up during the winter.

Babies are beautiful....their pudgy little hands, the way their tiny fingers wrap around yours, the little toes that just beg to be nibbled on ...the way the baby laughs when you do nibble the little toesies. The way they look into your eyes...the way their eyes sparkle...the way they try so hard to talk--and after straining and quivering and gasping, eek out a coo...it's adorable.

Thinking happy thoughts doesn't come naturally to me, but here goes:
I love how excited my son gets as he recognizes his first written words: "'Book!' That says 'book', dad! That says 'book!'"
Oh, and I'll join my voice in agreeing that girl nerds, particularly my wife, are beautiful. She enjoys some of the same computer games, understands physics, and reads a lot of the same books (although she somehow does not appreciate SRD).

The world is beautiful when you run into an old friend on the street and exchange hugs and phone numbers

I've recently moved to a new state, a warm southern one, and I have discovered a joy I had never experienced before.
Last night, I could not sleep, so I put on my robe and slippers and went out onto the back porch with my copy of Lord Foul's Bane (reading the series again

), and lounged on the chaise.
The beauty was so....so.....well I will try to explain it, but I will probably do a terrible job.
First, the temperature was just right, a little warm with a gentle breeze that sounded like breath in your ear. The stars were so bright, and I could even see Venus. A sweet wafting perfume of some flower was on the gentle breeze. I could hear cows lowing, chickens cackling, and even sheep baaaaaaaing. Every once and a while a dog would bark, and I watched the neighbors cats use our yard as a passthrough.
With all this going on, you would think it was a loud ruckus, but it was so peaceful, soft and gentle and, well, wonderful!
I knew that just then, I had captured a moment of pure bliss, and I tried to hold onto it as long as I could, but, the next thing I knew, I found myself awakening (refreshed, even!

)on the chaise a few hours later, with Lord Foul's Bane on the floor of the porch.

Passing gas is one of the pleasures of my life.
I'm not 100% joking either. My tombstone, if I have one, will probably read, "Still laughing at the fart jokes."
In complete honesty, and cheesiness, laughter is one of the greatest inventions ever made.

Today a quick moving rainstorm passed through. The clouds were HUGE and BILLOWING and looked AMAZING!
The air had that fresh *rain* smell--wet earth and worms--and there was an energy in the air that hummed and thrummed all around and through me.
It made me want to laugh out loud, and jump and spin. It made me want to find an ankle deep puddle and jump in with both feet and stomp around in it!

Why didn't you? These opportunities should be seized with both hands.
