C'mon you're supposed to read my thoughts! :P
Yeah, I did (a dirty place it is too!) but I was playing with the "comes back to bite you" part of the EarthBlood.

You would have said "war" and perhaps the Warward would have kicked the Ravers army back to Landsdrop.
Then the Raver retreats back to the Creche.
The Earthblood boost fades from the Warward and the Raver comes back in 5 years and kicks your butt!
Sorry, but I love the EarthBlood what-ifs!
I could do this all night.

Earthblood's upper limits must be staggeringly high, but probably not high enough for that! I mean, come on, deadbeat dads are beyond all hope and power.

I would command for some Oreos to dunk into the Earthblood. Then maybe command some milk to wash it down.-jay

Hmmm... You make a good point there.

I would command all ur-viles to betray Corruption and switch their allegiance to the service of the Lords in a Vow of utter loyalty.

I would command that all evil things in the earth be made powerless to do harm.

The Vow in itself was very beneficial. Perhaps a better way of putting it, the Vow was very beneficial to the Council of the Lords,
and to the Land. However, the Vow was not compatible with the Haruchai code, and was therefore rejected by them. This, *IMHO*
is the meaning of your observation that the Vow didn't work out for the Haruchai.

I don't think that the compelled servitude of the Ur-Viles to the Lords would confilct with the Ur-Viles' nature.
It is true that some of the Lords would find such a Command troubling. Certainly Kevin did not utter such a command.
I don't think that Mhoram would utter such a command. But I think that Elena would utter such a command; and
I would utter such a command, and this was the original question posed by the thread creator.

Egad! You risk great jacitation from the worm of world's end and the breaking the Arch! That is beyond the power of the Earth.

That's an interesting thought. I wonder if the Worm is "Commandable"? In which case I would command it to sleep forever in its current position.

*YAWN* *STRETCH* "I'm sorry, I was asleep. Could you repeat that? ... That's weird, I thought I heard somebody say something."

Still I Do Not Drink
-exerpt from "Thoughts In Ink" written by a timeless dreamer ages past.

And what do you say to the Earth itself
That is within your means?
All that is and ever was
crying in your dreams.

Though time itself should crumble,
And faces through the mist recede,
Thirsty as I think I be,
I will not accept that deed.

I for one would not drink..because I cannot think of a Command to myself that I would heed.

Comand all cheerleaders to forever taunt Lord Foul, driving him out of his mind until he commits suicide.   :!:

This is my first post as a reply to other posts in this forum.
Again, I would like to greet and salute (and cheer on) my fellow Chronicles fans. It is really good to meet you all. :)

I wouldn't have gone after the Earthblood at all.
Had I been a Lord, I would have echoed the sentiment that unearned knowledge was useless, or worse than useless.
But since this is a theoretical, a What If, I have tried to think of an answer to it.

I'd wish ...

I guess I'd wish the Earthpower to show me ways in which I could be a better servant of the Land. No conditions attached.
How could I change my ways, that would better enable me to serve?
How could I evolve as a person, to better serve?
What actions could I take, to accomplish the above?

If I was High Lord Elena, and I had gotten to the Earthblood before the 20 days had elapsed given by High Lord Mhoram concerning the Giants and a threat to them, I would have:

Wished to view Coercri and the Giants.
Upon seeing the actual situation in Coercri, using the Earthblood to somehow quickly travel to Coercri so I could try to save the Giants.

I would also:

Have wished to view the Despisers' army and the Warward.
Upon seeing the situation, wished to know if use of the Earthblood could help the Warward (through visions it might grant) and what consequences there would be.
If I could somehow use the Earthblood to delay Fleshharrower even by one day, I could make a tremendous difference for the fleeing Warward.

If I had the power of command, I would have saved it for the right time. It seems like Elena really shot her wad right off the bat, and it screwed everyone.
And I also have a question. What if TC drank the Earthblood? If he is beyond the arch of time, could he command things beyond it as well? Like the creator, of LF?
I'm thinking that no is the answer, but what do you think?
