:) The Scarecrow has always been my favourite villain. I am pleased to know you and Dlb like him in the movie. A sign this movie will be great!

That doesn't say enough to do the movie justice.

That's often my problem with movie fight scenes. I loooooooooove good choreography, and really wish it had been in this movie. My only consolation is that the people he was beating up on doubtless saw the same thing we did - some fast, indistinct, indescribable movements - just before getting SLAMMED to the ground.

I thought Ras was pretty cool.
Spoiler
Liam's usually great, and he did a nice job.
Interesting take on the character.

I think it was a wise choice to avoid the elaborately choreographed fight scenes (a la the Matrix flicks). One reviewer (forget who, might've been a fan review) said that the fight scenes reminded him of the Alien movies. I think that's a great comparison; again, it serves to highlight the theme that fear is Bats' main weapon.

Fear, and surprise. Two. Two main weapons. Fear, and surprise and a fanatical devotion to the Pope...

Choreographed fight scenes look fake. My main problem with the Matrix movies - it looks as though they are play-fighting.

Saw it last night. LOVED IT. Bale was great - the cast (except Holmes) was great. Always been a massive fan of the Scarecrow, so really went to see the movie because of him; though in the end considered Ras Al-Ghul the better villain! I thought the twist was very well done.

Saw the plot twists coming, Bale in the first scenes brought to mind nothing so much as Tom Cruise in The Last Samurai, and I'm not sure how I feel about the Batmobile as the Batmobile, but otherwise this was a great movie. Liam Neeson was excellent, and the Scarecrow was creepy. Creeeeepy.

I have to agree with whoever said that Bale is not Covenant... if he were to have that Tom Cruise/Samurai look in a Covenant movie, I'd never be able to take it seriously.

Watch the Machinist before being so quick to judge.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck with it now, like the Jeeves & Wooster fans are stuck with that particular image of Hugh Laurie.

interesting observation as BB and The Last Samurai have something in common. What is it? Yes I agree with Syl--Bale is still Covenant in my book. If he can shake the unforgetable American Psycho image he can shake Bats. This was one damm good film! Scarecrow/Crane was indelibly creepy. 8)

Other than the white-boy-in-Asia routine...? Dunno.

Like me, Hannah has a fondness for brooding, troubled characters and dark films/books. She doesn't like Spiderman/Superman etc, but she likes Batman; and from everything I've read in this topic, it sounds like this is the most Batmanly film yet.
