SgtNull, showing that science is sometimes wrong does nothing to further your claim that scientists say it is never wrong. Your link is entirely irrelevant.

That is a valid point, sarge, putting your faith in untried and unproven science. They discerned the benefits of a certain chemical without fully understanding what the negative and harmful effects would be, and proceeded to administer it to people without adequate laborotory research. Was this an unforeseen consequence, or deliberate indifference? I can see science being abused by the govt., it is happening to an alarming degree at this very moment, and has been for awhile, but I feel that this just represents unscrupulous people doing unscrupulous things. You can't blame science for what people do with it according to there own selfish desires, or scientists either for what others have perverted in their quest to "evolve their understanding".sgtnull wrote:my link shows the danger of going along with what scientists say, just because they say it's right. i chose only one, of course a significant one. this push to replace religion with the cult of science is a dangerous one.
