Hi Joy!

I'd be glad to do a chapter...I would just want to know when the read would get to Chapt. 3. Feb. first by the look of it? I can get the book again from the library and get reading (which means if it's checked out from the library I'd have to withdraw and wait until it was returned). Like everyone else it seems, I too am busy, but I think I could make it by Feb. 1st and have a few thoughts to toss out.

And good point about the broken glass, that's another one he loves to use!

Oh, and one more thing...both Brew and Covenant tend to be intuitive thinkers. In The Man Who... this is mentioned explicitly by Brew, who IIRC, often explains he needs to get some flash of insight to figure something out. Covenant also tends to make leaps of intuition and logic, particularly about what Lord Foul intends.

Yes, Chap 3 is Feb 1. (sounds almost kabalistic, doesn't it?) Do you want me to sign you up and hope you can get the book from the library?

Oh, but that would mean you'd have to check out the book again to do later chapters. :( Well, if you can't find a copy of your own, it's better than nothing.

They do. I took that as an indicator of the way SRD himself thinks. He takes far too practical a viewpoint toward it, especially in MAN WHO, not to have relied on it himself.

I just checked Amazon. They have 27 copies of the revised edition of KILLED, hard- and paperback, and 10 copies of the revised RISKED in hardcover.

:)

I got a copy from the library, so I can do it. :) I don't mind re-checking it out.

Great. I signed you up. The list is on the Announcement thread. Any others you particularly want dibs on, let me know the chapter number.

Just an fyi (and this may be old news), but I just ordered the 4 "Man Who" books from amazon, and they have a 4 for the price of 3 deal going. I'm getting them for 24 bucks. Woo-hoo! Get in on the action, if you haven't read these books yet.
