Oh, and by the way, Damelon, in regards to the chat we had, my little son had a wonderful time in Chicago Friday. I was too sick to go get him, but my husband let me sit up until he brought him home, and I heard those little feet come charging up the stairs and then he flung himself around me. He was so sleepy he could barely talk, but he wouldn't go to bed until he told me all about his magical day. He wrapped his arms and legs around me and murmured all about the trip into my shoulder until he fell asleep. 8)

On their field trip they went to the Field Museum, Shedd Oceanarium, Navy Pier, and the Rain Forest Cafe. 8)

So that would mean you have a total of 60 hours and 33 minutes left of work before vacation....well probably less than that now cos it took a little while to do the math.

Woo Hoo!!! Lucky you :)

Have a fun and safe trip, Duchess!

I had forgotten that this thread existed. We did have a wonderful time in June, and loved camping in the mountains. We saw a lot of wildlife and visited four national parks. :D
Our next trip is coming up in August, for a long weekend in Chicago. Looking forward to that one, too. :D We'll be going to a couple of shows, visiting the planetaruim, and playing on Navy Pier. And I will get to meet my first fellow Watcher in the Real World! :D :D :D :D :D
(Of course, the kids and I can be so shy he'll be lucky to get ten words total out of us. Luckily my husband is much more outgoing).
Love as thou wilt.

Our hotel turns out to be just a few blocks from Damelon's office, so we'll be meeting up with him. :D

Yes we are having a midwestern Giantclave!

This is a two part story. Duchess has been kind enough to invite me to see summer Shakespeare at Navy Pier, in Chicago, with her and her family. I will meet her and her family on Thursday night, August 7th. :) Her hotel is about a 10 minute walk from my office, and I'll meet up with her there. My task is to find a good spot for dinner on the Pier. I hope they will enjoy what I've picked out.

On Saturday, I will come downtown with a dear friend of mine and her parents to see the 4pm show of the Blue Man Group with Duchess, and her family. Mhoram may be familiar with Blue Man, since they also play in Boston, here is the website: www.blueman.com/ . They are tough to describe. Dinner afterwards at Harry Caray's is in the plan, and if I can swing it, something else.

As for me, this is my first face to face meeting with a person from the Watch, and I'm looking forward to it. :)

I think we'll have to meet at the Pier rather than the hotel. My little son is already bouncing off the walls in anticpation of getting there! :D

LM, I saw them about 3 years ago. It's a good time. 8)

Meeting you at the Pier will work well for me, Duchess. The lunch meeting out in the sticks that I thought I would have to go to on that Friday is for Thursday instead. After that is done, I'll just drive down to the Pier in mid-afternoon and catch up with you there. :)
