if you changed the censor filters would every swear word that has been censored on the watch be changed? for instance this thread would suddenly change from some quite amusing uses of **** to being rather gratuitous. i would rather no censorship but wont you mods and admins have to go back and edit a whole load of posts if we get rid of censorship?

The word censor, as you may see if you hit 'edit' on a post that has been censored, doesn't change the content, just replaces the words displayed. So, yes, they'd go back to including the words - unless the people typing them typed asterixes themselves, of course.
