Just wanted to say that a mere hour or so ago, I bade goodnight to Menolly after an MSN session that lasted close to five hours. Along the way, Lord Foul and Cameraman Jenn dropped by. Mad schemes were forged and forgotten. Strange and beautiful things were seen and heard. It was near nonstop nuttiness. It was the Mother of all Chats. That is all.

All I'll say is to man the poop decks!
A pirate wedding is afoot...

But between whom?
ah...
y'all will have to work that out for yourselves.

Sea, I would have sworn I have you on my Messenger, but I haven't seen you on my buddylist in a long time. If I had seen you, you would have definitely been invited to join us!

Don't worry, Menolly. I'm only whinging for the sake of doing so (I've been in a manic mood). I don't think I ever had you on MSN, but I had you on AIM. However, I don't really get on them much anymore so... all is good.

Doesn't matter, you're never on.

I have a MSN Messenger addy - I just never use it.
Google Talk is the shiz!

I'm on Google...

My only complaint with Google Talk is the lack of group chats, unless I am overlooking an option to set such up...

I like you more and more each day, but, like Cov says, you're never on.

Good heavens, don't make me install yet another chat program. I currently have two (Yahoo and MSN/Windows Live) and that's plenty enough for me.
(Unless there is something really special about Google Talk.)

mm, unless Google Talk has a separate program to run it that I don't know about, if you have a Google email account, it is generated automatically and runs in your browser google window when you chat with someone. Facebook has pretty much the same thing...

You can download Google Talk
here. It's a stand alone program - you just need a gmail addy to use it.
And it's a tiny program, which is why I started using it in the first place. I hated the way MSN took over my laptop!

Well cool!
Does it do group chats as well?

I don't think it does.

It's a pretty nifty little program though.

*nodding*
I'll continue to use meebo.com instead though, for other chat engines besides Messenger. meebo does google talk as well, for the occasions where I would use it, and I wouldn't have to download anything else.
I like how meebo puts all my contacts on the various programs on one buddy list, so...

Fair enough. Good ol' Microsoft.
I did have a Gmail account from long ago that I used when I was involved with the KW anthology. Haven't touched it since that time.

You shouldn't have let it.

(It asks you for permission to do all sorts of stuff when it installs...if you don't give it, it can't take over.)

Awh...how sweet. But no. I'm hardly ever on. I have no time for anything these days....except getting on here and whinging of course!
