Went to see Gomez play in Bristol last night. Good gig, but I was too knackered after a hectic weekend to enjoy it properly.

(if anyone's interested, this sort of thing...

Yeah, it was a nice surprise to learn the fuzzy guitars were real and functional, not just props for the video. (GREAT MUSIC VIDEO BY THE WAY!) Do you suppose the fuzz affects the acoustics at all? How do they even play with fuzz under and around the strings and fretboard?[/i]

I've only been to one concert, Iron Maiden, last June...and it was friggin amazing.

I wish I could see Roger Waters, but I always find out about his gigs too late... it's like a curse or something.

Next planned concert for me is in a couple of weeks in Tampa.
As long as the van holds up for the drive down, I am planning on going to the first Clear Frontier gig in a long time.

I love the mp3s I've heard.
I am truly looking forward to seeing them live.

If any of the Florida contingent care to join me, the show will be at "The Warehouse" at Element church. (2702 Causeway Center Drive, Tampa 33619) on June 19th.

Let me know.

A couple of friends went to see Paolo Nutini a few weeks ago, they came back raving about the support act, an Aussie band called The Panics. So we drove down to Bristol to see them play tonight. Very intimate venue(about 50 people), and an absolutely fantastic night!

They're obviously big in Oz!

Menolly and Cheval made it, along with a bunch of non-Watcher friends (and family). It was a really fun gig. That's me on the left, weilding the Illearth Bass.

For anyone interested, five of the eight song set was videoed and uploaded here. It looks like it was done with a handheld camcorder, and the sound isn't the greatest from the camcorder, but if you wish to see a little of Clear Frontier in action, there you go. I was sent mp3s that were recorded with a hand held system in the audience as well. All Around the World sounds much better on the mp3, IMO. Well, pretty much all of the songs do, but AAtW and Follow Me in particular stand out.

I do hope Follow Me was filmed and will be uploaded, though. That was my favorite of the night, I think.

Good looking axe, man. \\===== <---supposed to be a green, left-handed bass.

Also: We can relax a little. I'm NOT a lefty.

I'm trying to listen to/watch the videos but the stream is unbearably slow for whatever reason at the moment.

*nod*

That happened to me too, but I thought it was my slowest available DSL connection.

I do have some mp3s that were recorded at the gig separately I'll be happy to share, if you are comfortable sharing files via email or MSN Messenger.
Feel free to PM me either, if you are...

Got it and got 'em! Thanks!

a different Flash track then the one you linked, called Dreams of Heaven.
OMG! (see below.)

Thanks to both Menolly and dAN for that sweet track!

Saw them last night at Hampden stadium, Glasgow.

A fantastic set, lovely weather, and some beer and stonking songs.

God knows how they do it, they're nearly 60 8O

I saw them a few years ago in Oz - it was great. Probably the loudest concert I've ever been to (and it was outdoor) apart from the Hoodoo Gurus (but that was in a small pub).
