I have decided that yard work constitutes a legitimate workout. I worked outside for 2 days and now I can barely move.
Hami - I understand, a lot of times when I think I want something to snack on, if I come and read this thread it helps my "willpower". On my own I don't have nearly as much as I would like.
Duchess - hope you feel better soon, keep us posted!

After the double whammy of B-day and spring break, the damage is minimal: gained 2 pounds. And that's with completely stopping my workout for two weeks, and not counting calories at all. So I'm happy it wasn't more.
Today I've adjusted my desk setup so that I'm standing. I've been working on the computer for about 4 hours and haven't sat yet. It's actually quite comfortable if your work allows you to move a bit (more reading that writing). I wonder how many more calories I'll burn this way?

Cleaning for Passover may be good for weight loss.
Unfortunately, Passover itself is not.

As of yesterday, I am down 6.4 pounds.
Good luck with the Passover, MsMary. Just remember to make a plan before you get to the meal, and stick to it.

I finally broke the 20 lb. mark this week! *And* after being on vacation for a week, too. Go me!
I didn't make myself crazy while I was on vacation, watching my food intake. But I *did* walk everywhere, all day long.
I'm almost to the first big Weight Watchers benchmark -- 10% of your starting weight. I *might* do it next week, which would be awesome.

Congratulations!!

Well done !!
I did not eat much..no sweets since three weeks and a lot of sport (but i must say nothing else than allways)
but i haven´t lost any weight..perhaps 1 lb
and tomorrow i will wear my gymnastik dress..
my only hope to look a little thinner is that i am usually so excited befors the competition that i have to run to the toilet at least 327 times
but hell and blood i will go on!!!

Well, I didn't keep track of what I ate the first 3 days of Passover, but I don't seem to have done any damage either.

I haven't looked at the scale in several days. Kinda afraid to, so I will wait until next week after Pascha is over.

I work from home. I have heard of these stand up desks you use and work while standing up; They say its good for your posture and you also burn more calories. I may look into one!
