Ok, this one has been going awhile and I think maybe I should give a couple of pretty explicit clues here:

Elena fits the pattern because she was killed in battle...
Mhoram fits the pattern because he was seriously injured in battle...

Lord Loerya was the only one on the list not killed or badly hurt in a battle.
