Then she pokes Led for good measure.

Anna calls out "Don't make me separate you two." at the bickering pair.

"Someone is making these Bad things come here?"

Snarling at the thought.

Kali acts scared at Anna's chiding. "So you did summon something evil to eat us both!"

[Led Pighp]

Led glances at 'Trina before quickly saying to Kali, "Annalysei isn't summoning anything, and you saying so will only confuse 'Trina." To 'Trina, "Don't believe her. She's making a joke, only it's not funny. Annalysei was with us the whole time... she couldn't have summoned anything. The one who summoned those demons is down that way" he gestures down the hallway, "and once everybody else finishes climbing the rope, we'll all go over there and Deal With him together."

[Kalindriel Ec'urb]

As Kali huffs derisively, a tiny mote of shadow breaks away then dissipates. "Nonsense. It's hilarious. I cannot help it if she's too simple to get a jest. She can learn to deal with it."

[Sigrid]

I'm having trouble climbing. My arms are weak. [I have a 9 strength.]

"Can someone help pull me up?"

Marrik is already on the ledge. [I asked Seven.] He helps pull me up.

I mutter, "I need to learn levitate."

[Kalindriel Ec'urb]

"Or learn to fly."

[Sigrid]

"Oh right. I could grow wings."

[Kalindriel Ec'urb]

"Excellent idea. You're welcome."

[Laurel]

The bard had expected the scouts to climb the rope and then scout out whatever was seen once they reached the top. Then the party as a whole would decide whether to climb up or go back another way. Now it felt as if the party was continuing on without scouting ahead at all.

I'm not sure I approve, Laurel thought to herself. But I definitely don't want to be left here alone.

Not much stronger than Sigrid, the bard starts to climb up behind her, thinking how nice it would be if she was a half dragon enabling her to fly up as well...

[Vynarkus]

Vynarus invisbly flys up the passage, using Detect Magic to look for threats or treasure.

[Kalindriel Ec'urb]

Sometime during the effort to get everyone up to the ledge, Kali's wings merge back into the inky shadows covering her form.

[To get that bit of record keeping out of the way, since we're drawing the chatter out and I didn't say it before. Can't waste it!]

[Seven Words]

Skyseeker flows up the rope, nimble as a squirrel up a tree. Marrik's ascent is much more labor-intensive, given the weight of his adamantine half-plate. Once up into the tunnel, it proceed for some 30' straight, then there are rungs set into the side of another vertical tube.

Once people are present on the landing who can guard the ascent of the others, Led moves down the hallway and then starts to ascend the ladder to scout ahead.

[Vynarkus]

"Led, make sure to check if that ladder is trapped."

Vynarkus continues his invisible, magical, floating scouting, skpping the ladder and going up under his own power.

[Seven Words]

As Vynarkus wings up the tube....he hits a wire....not strung on the rungs, an obvious place to look, but rather across the passageway. A spray is triggered, a cloud of acid descending! (23 points)

At the bottom, Led sees the caustic cloud descending, and rolls away, evading the corrosive mist!

Anna stands at the top of the landing and waits for the mages to climb up, helping those within reach.

Having no idea it was Vynarkus triggering a trap due to his invisible flitting nature, Kali springs up to Led and asks quietly. "Acid fog? Is the caster up there?"
