Well, there wasn't enough hurling for my tastes, but otherwise I thought it was perfect.

Meh, I thought Super Troopers was far, far better.

We watched Lady in the Water the other day on dvd, and rather liked it. We went in knowing it was a fairy tale, so we weren't disappointed by it, just let it unfold. Interesting movie.

Miami Vice-kicked ass, and took names !!! Killer music, of course-I'll be looking for the soundtrack...a series of great one-liners, one of which can be found in my current sig. I'm a huge Crockett fan and didn't think Farrell could cut it, but he pulls it off at the end!

I just watched Das Boot - The Director's Cut again. Without a doubt the greatest movie ever made. An absolute classic.

It's funny, I probably saw no more than 5 movies over the course of the entire year, and then all of a sudden I see 5 over the last two weeks (damn holiday, heh).

In order of least-to-most-sucky:

Last King of Scotland: Very good, definitely enjoyed it.
Persuit of Happyness: Good film, great acting by Smith.
The Good Shepherd: It kept my interest the entire time, but at the end, I was wondering what the heck was the point of this 3 hour movie. Interesting, but never really went anywhere.
Casino Royale: It may have been good, but I fell asleep. Heh.
The Fountain: Huh???

I watched Poseidon about a week ago. That movie blew. Hard to believe it was the same director.

Yeah, it's strange. Wolfgang Peterson is a great director, just a shame his American films are bad. Maybe it's the scripts and conditions set on him by the studio execs.

Without saying it's the greatest movie ever made, I'd have to say it's pretty near the top.

Tried to watch Blood Diamond, switched it off half way. Yawn.
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

Full of the heavens and time.
