Furls Fire has the soundtrack to the Phantom of the Opera playing right now, original London cast recording. Beautiful music.

Is that the one by Andrew Lloyd Webber? I'm not sure if its, cause if it is, then just as an interesting piece of trivia: the beginning of Phatom's title song has the same time signature - 12/8 - and the same structure and the same notes as Pink Floyd's Echoes.

Yes it is LF
And don't shoot me, but I'm not a big Pink Floyd fan so I dont' know what song that is.

Now that's not
totally true!

Suffice it to say if you're a big fan of the opening of Phantom's title song, you're inadvertently a big fan of
Echoes.

Well, I like
Wish You Were Here and one other one that I can't remember the title too.
I think what turned me off from Pink Floyd was the movie
The Wall. It made no sense to me and parts of it were down right gross.
Sorry, I know you are a big fan of theirs, I shouldn't bad mouth them. I do like that song tho.

The movie The Wall isn't important to me, either--just the excellent album the movie was born from.

I like
Wish You Were Here and
Animals the most, but I still listen to "Bike" regularly.

Listening to George Harrison's All Things Must Pass--his first solo album--right now. It's a great little package. I love it. My favorite song on there is Beware of Darkness, with Let It Down a close second. Everything else is stellar, from What Is Life, My Sweet Lord, Isn't It A Pity, etc. I love 'em all.

Listening Ravi Shankar right now. I heard a couple of days ago that one of his students is working on a piece for the opening of the Olympics.

Ravi?! He was the Indian dude that George hang out with and taught him how to play the sitar! Awesome! But I'm sure you knew that, already.
