1/2 c butter
1 c brown sugar
3 Egg; beaten

1/2 ts Apple pie spice
1 pn salt
2/3 c Raisins; soaked in Guinness
-overnight
1/2 c Candied peel; soaked
1 1/3 c Golden raisins; soaked
1/4 c Candied cherries
8 fl Guinness or other dark beer

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream the butter and sugar until the

Don't know if this anything like Myste's friend's cake, though. :)

A bummer of a day. One of my two dogs died today. :(

The only good thing was it happened quick and I didn't have to take her to the vet to have her put down.

I'm feeling pretty manly..just Chainsawed up bout 4 cord of wood last night, have a bout another 2 to go.

I'll then have to split it all, I can't afford a wood splitter, so it's all going to be with an axe.

Duchess's recipe doesn't sound exactly like the one I had, but I'll see if I my friend will divulge her secrets for you, duckie.

My sympathies as well, Damelian....

I am feeling STOOPID myself.

IN attempting to fix my wrecked knee with ice packs, I inadvertantly gave myself frost bite.

Doh.
