Hi from Salem Oregon.
I read LFB around 17 years ago while I was in the military and never got back to the series. Recently we went thru a snow storm in Oregon where we lost power for six days. I picked up the book started from the beginning and feel as if I've never read it. Can't believe I let this go.
I'd like to collect the series but I want the old book covers so I'll be combing the used book stores hoping to find them.
What brought me here was doing a search on some of the characters. Looking for more of a detailed map than the book offers Maybe some artist renditions of characters and to see if anyone has considered doing a movie and not one of those cheesey scifi ones.
Some of the threads are interesting though. I'm enjoying them. Glad to know their are others as interested as I am if not more.

Welcome to the Watch, Bruiser.
See the Movie Discussion thread for Chronicles Movie News (or not!). See the Laborium in the Album for Covenant Art. And I recommend ebay or Abe's or other online sources for used books -- hardcovers are usually to be found.

Having a hard time finding this. Could someone provide a link or even the name of the parent thread.
There's a link to
Album under the link to Home at the top left of the page, under the KW logo. On the album page, there's a link to the
Laborium section of the Album.
If you got any pics, scans, artwork, etc. please post them! I'd like to think that we have the greatest collection of Chronicles-related artwork in the universe.
Or you can contribute by pestering Jwaneeta, Kevin164, Blackhawk, and ministerart to create more.
[edit: doh!]

My name is Lars, though my internet name has been "Vader" since the dawn of time. I am a 38 year old married man (1 daughter, 3,5 years old). We live close to Hameln (Hamelin) the "famous" town of the Pied Piper. This is in Germany. We have two guinea pigs (don't ask).
I am fully qualified lion tamer (= secondary school teacher for English and philosophy). Apart from reading my favourite hobby is cooking (mainly Italian or Far East dishes). I also love loud music (the harder the better) and Formula 1. My favourite drinks are filtered coffee (no milk and sugar, please), diet coke and red wine (mainly Italian wine, like Vino Nobile di Montepulciano).
Somewhere in the GI Mr. Donaldson said "Serendipity can be a wonderful thing." This is actually the perfect way to describe the way I first got in touch with the Chronicles. Back in the mid-80s, when I was still a student myself, we went on a school trip to the wonderful town of Bath, UK. I was looking for English editions of Tolkien books. As it was around my birthday a class mate gave me what she thought was a Tolkien book as a present. However, she had misread the jacket sleeve. It was not a Tolkien book but the "Illearth War" and it said "Comparable to Tolkien at his best". Nevertheless, I started reading the first pages and then went straight into the next bookshop to buy the rest of TC1 and the complete TC2.
I haven't read much fantasy over the last two decades, but this summer I felt like picking up a few older books I loved back then to find out if they still "talked to me" - amongst them Saberhagen's Book of Swords, Farmer's World of Tiers and of course the Chronicles. I was quiet surprised how brilliant the Chronicles were - I mean, I knew they were good, outstanding - but now I discovered so many things that I didn't notice back then ... Only when I started to look for answers on the internet I discovered this site here, the SRD site with the priceless GI and the fact that there was TC3. As soon as time allows I'll start reading runes - I know it’s late but better late then never.

Be Welcome to the Watch, Vader.
Be Well Come and True.
Besides the forums regarding SRD's works (be wary of Last Chron spoilers!), come explore the rest of the Watch. I think you will enjoy
Vespers and I look forward to welcoming you to
The Galley.

Welcome, Lord Vader. If you try to frighten us with your sorcerous ways, well ... they'll probably work.
