Fool me once — shame on you.
Fool me twice — you can't get fooled again.
Once, twice, three times a lady.

I'm stunned to find human life forms...and SO MANY!!! Wow, I KNEW I couldn't be the only one!
This finding partially completes my Quest, YAY me!
I'll go snoop about the Watch for a bit.
Fare Well.

Thank you all so very much for the warm welcome. I think I found my new home.
And wayfriend- of course you may call me Dilly. I only wish I had thought of it myself. We have Thomas Covenant The Unbeliever (among many other titles), also Linden Avery the Chosen. I should have been DILLY the DALLY, DILLY the WILLYNILLY, or even DILLY the...the...PICKLE!!!
AAHHH, the Power of the Land has made me giddy, I know I'm not yet worthy of a title, it must be bestowed only after I have proven, or another has discerned, my true purpose here.
I assure you all, my purpose is to Be True.

Dilly, if it is available, you can change your user name at any time (I think). It's done pretty often by several long-time Watchers.
Click on the profile link in the Watch toolbar (not the button at the bottom of a post of yours), and the option should be available to you.
Customizing your title will become available after one more post (again, I think). Looking forward to seeing what all you come up with!

Thanks Menolly, I'll check it out.
Is it the number of posts that gets me off the watch? I don't remember seeing that anywhere, but I didn't specifically go looking for it either.
I'm still amazed and highly amused to find such a group as this exists! I initially found Thomas Covenant in 1978 and have been addicted ever since.
WOW, could it REALLY have been so long ago?

hmm...
I thought you were kidding when you initially said that, as I am unsure what you mean by "getting off the Watch." We don't have different areas of the Land on the forum, if that is what you mean. The entire message board forum is known as
Kevins Watch.
Otherwise, in this I am completely befuddled...

*nodding*
Sounds familiar. 1978 as well. Freshman year of university.

If you look to the far left bottom of where our names are, (when we post) you'll see a little red guy (gal? I can't tell, could be an Oscar for all I know)-Yours and everybody else that I see says "off the watch".
MY little thing is green and "on the watch"...SEE???
I'm ASSuming it has to do with number of posts, how long we're here, something that I haven't figured out yet.
I sure am enjoying reading all the dissections and other posts. Good stuff!!

...oh...
That shows whether a Watcher is currently signed on to the watch at the time you're reading the post. This way, if you sent a PM and they have pop-ups assigned, you would know they would be sent a message right away when they next changed the page they were on, or you could invite them to meet you in the ChatBane or Nuthouse...

Ahhhh, (slapping self in forehead and rolling eyes) DUH.
You've been most gracious National Champion Menolly, I seek to honor you by accepting your selfless aid.
NOW I think I will go to the main Summonsing board and give a proper introduction.
I am now backing away, unsure as to how to express my heartfelt thanks, it turns into a rather graceless sort of curtsy and head nod at the same time, almost losing my balance of course. I think you nodded your head in return only so that I wouldn't see your grin- but I saw it! It said," She's SOOO lame, but may yet have potential."
Then I fled.
