yes, they're cool! :D

I SO need a new photos fix!

Although I'm starting to see a pattern: me in photos having animated conversations and people sitting there looking at me like they're thinking "OH SHUT UP SEA!" ;)
Where are the pictures? I haven't seen them yet!

Oh, well...that's alright then. As long as I look good in all of them...

Unlike the hairy toad I look like in all the other photos.

Um... hate to break this to ya but Seareach thinks hairy toads look good... :P

Just kidding! The pics are great. Don't worry. And hey, I don't think you look like a hairy toad in the ones that I took.

Today my ex-girlfriend confirmed that she is indeed getting together with our housemate Joe (my suspicion of which, despite her denials, is why I ended it in the first place). Seems I know her better than she knows herself. Heh.

Though I expected it and it's six months since we finished, I'd be lying if I said it doesn't hurt at all. I guess wounds can seem more closed than they are. It's not that I want her back or anything (I don't, and for more reasons than those I've mentioned) but on a reflexive, emotional level I'm still a little sore, which is a surprise to me I can tell you.

No surprise to me, CovJr. It's always tough to watch a former SO move on, even if it's been ages since you were together. |G

Okay here. Finally getting going on my anthology submission (and thanks for the reminder, aTOMic! :whip:  ). Lost my company ID on the Metro this morning and had to get a new one. Then left both the new ID, and the temporary one I picked up this morning, on my desk when I went to heat up my lunch, thereby locking myself in the stairwell. Luckily someone let me in...

Oh STOP! I was well behaved and didn't hurt anybody while I was over there! Ok...so perhaps I wasn't well behaved (;)) but I certainly didn't hurt anyone!
You're blacking out when you whacked me on the knee for mocking that painter on tv. I said that his technique of sprinkling salt on the watercolor would not give the painting a realistic appearance. You became rather belligerent and said that it would too. :P

Meanwhile, back at base.... I left my blackberry at home for the second day this week. I never have any problems if I leave it on the console in the car, but I've twice this week I've carried it in my laptop bag, then taken it out at home for one reason or another.

Also, one of the car's tires has a slow leak. Every third day I've got to fill it with air. Considering I bought the set this spring, that is an irritating problem. Other than that, things are going good.

It seems that tis type of thing can frequently be a surprise at the time but not really surprising in hindsight. Sometimes things just get a little buried instead of really lessening or going away. Regardless, I certainly hope you feel better, CovJr!

Yeah, it's much easier with exes when they move on with people we have no idea about. Actually, my ex-wife started dating one of my best friends after I ended things. That was quite a blow. From what I understand, they are still together and have several kids.

But yeah, when this friend of mine started seeing her, he couldn't understand why I was upset that they were seeing each other. Just because you no longer want to see someone romantically doesn't mean the feelings just disappear. Plus, if you still intend to remain friends with the friend, it means you still have to see her. And that's just selfish of your friend.

Actually, I had a moment after my ex-fiance dumped my ass that the eventual ex-wife of another best friend (he had dumped her) had an interest in me. Maybe. I could never tell if I was being played against him. Regardless, and as much as I wanted to at the time, I didn't succumb. I'm glad I didn't as it started to rise to the surface that she is a little nutso. It would have made divorce proceedings a little easier for my friend though instead of an almost two year lawyer-fest, but I suspect I wouldn't have been happy and our friendship probably would have faded. He said he was fine with it at the time, and sounded sincere, but he isn't always one for thinking things through.

Bleh, it's probably best for us all to just avoid other people. The life of a hermit beckons.
