Must be going around....so do I.
Of course I didn't have too much of a weekend this weekend. Had to get up really early on Saturday to set up at the community yard sale, where I sold many things from my parent's house - yeah it felt weird. Jeff's great uncle died on Friday so there was all of the funeral home stuff to deal with... I need a nap!

Thankyou, Duchess. I had a heart scare some weeks back, so it's nice to feel good. Going to get my passport soon - planning on spending a week in America come december. Feel like celebrating.

Hmmm...looks like I've got a whole lot of work to do in the next couple of weeks (stuff which I should have got done ages ago). Gosh I'm a slacker!

When you find a source of bottled motivation, let me know where to buy it. I need a truckload. . . for people to remain unnamed.

Well, Lyr...if I find some motivation I'll definitely share it around!
I've had a brilliant morning. Last Saturday night (when I went to the Playgroup fundraising disco) I met the husband of one of the playgroup mums who I talk to. He was sitting in a corner downstairs looking dysfunctional and as I was feeling just as dysfunctional (but drunk enough to pluck up some courage) I went and started talking to him. We hit it off completely, and I ended up going back to his and his wifes house with another friend of mine where we stayed until 5am chatting. He's a fantastic artist (there were his paintings all over the house) and a poet. We spoke all night about art, writing and stuff. I even got to discuss SRD! (WACKO!) Finally I've found someone in my town who is interested in things I am.
Anyway, today he turned up with his son to playgroup (his wife usually comes but she's now working) and I spent two hours talking about writing, travelling, life and stuff. Oh, how much more stimulating compared to the usual children talk I'm subjected to!
All is good (crikey!...that's several days in a row I've been happy...what is happening to me!

)

Let's not question it. . . just go with it, and enjoy it while it lasts.

I'm happy for you.

Had a great afternoon today at the Henry Ford Museum.

We saw all sorts of cool things like the mess kit and folding cot that Washington used during the American Revolution, one of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence, a life cast of Lincoln's hand, a framed original newspaper article on Lee's surrender - and some seriously icky things like the car Kennedy was riding in when he was shot, and the chair Lincoln was sitting in when he got shot (complete with stains).
The best moment might have been when my son and I got to sit on
the Rosa Parks protest bus!
Since it is my brithday (42 years sexy today

) my husband took the day off from work and he cooked me breakfast, and will be taking me out to my favorite Chinese restaurant for dinner in a few minutes.
