Poor Son-of-Seareach slipped in the shower last night and smacked the bridge of his nose (well, that general location) on the shower basin edge. Wellll....today he has two black eyes and a rather sore looking nose! OMG! The poor little poppet! So today I'm feeling like a "bad mum" (well, these things happen but still....he looks terrible!!!)

I feel restless, but tired. It's past my bedtime, so I'm out of here. I hope I can fall asleep quickly. . .

Happy.
I can finally log onto KW..for about the last week there was a glitch that wouldn't give me access...so thanks to Lucimay whom I emailed the problem to, and thanks to Vain..whom she got a hold of and fixed the problem.
So...this past weekend was great..it was our anniversary (six years (and 3 kids!)) We went to a wedding...let me tell you, if the oppertunaty arrises to go to another wedding on your anniversary..do it. The ceremony just made me and Lis feel so connected again, it was great...then at the reception (which was at the old country church about a mile away from my house) I got the DJ to play our wedding song (Lost Together by Blue Rodeo) and dedicate it to us...we serenaded everyone with the lyrics as we danced..it was great...although I did have to carry Lis home at the end...and I wasn't walking too straight myself...but lukily the baby slet in till about 5:30..so I had a good four hours sleep under my belt
And in other news it rained for a few days, so our well is finally up to full capacity again..no more baths in the sink.
wait wait....there's more stuff...oh well I'll tell you all later.

I feel great - just finished a 3-day conference I sponsored for 70 people from across our National organization. The sesssiona were very well received - the feedback extremely positive.
Tomorrow - a project meeting and then back home! [I'm in Atlanta.]

HUGS Spacemonkey!
I'm great today. Stayed up until 3am this morning writing; spent this morning down at the skate park with my friend John and our kids (who are bestest buddies). We're organising for a couple of us to go camping in the next month or two down at Wilson's Prom (most beautiful place on earth!). Can't wait.

What have you been doing to yourself? Nevermind. . . I won't ask!

Try to take it easy, okay?

Can you ship me some energy? And how about some writing inspiration while you're at it?
Glad that life is evening out for you now. Enjoy the camping. . .

Just spoke to Elfgirl for about ten minutes (on phone). Internet is expensive to access in NZ, so she cant post often as she would like. She's having a great time and cant wait to begin writing up about her adventures and posting pics. She also sends her regards.

Yay! I can't wait to see her pictures. . . I wonder if she has any of Elfboys? Or better yet. . . did she get any pictures at WETA?

Now that would be awesome!

I just realized why I feel so bad all the time. I do jog yes, and I'm skinny as heck, but I still feel like crap. Maybe it's because I only exercise at one given time during the day and spend the rest of the day in relative inactivity. Maybe I should spread out my physical regiment instead of concentrating it into one intensive period? OR maybe I'm given to too much self-analysis! I'm above ground, right? Happy dance, right?
But really: the cards are stacked against us, as far as health. I mean, this society is so easy to get sedentary in. We have fast motor cars taking us to our destinations; there's no hunting-gathering; we don't need to track our hamburgers for five miles before we eat it. We still have that caveman craving for high-fat/high-sugar, but our bodies no longer need that drive. Our genetic predispositions were road-tested on a bumpier path, to be sure.
If there's anybody out there that truly feels balanced and good all the time, tell me the freaking secret. Or if no one does, just commiserate with another mortal, eh?

Doesn't necessarily help. I do my cardio and my core exercises before work, and I lift after work.
I still feel like crap a lot of the time.

Part of it is mental. Do you go to work every day thinking "Joy!" or Crap!" ? 'cause I do the former for my barn job (active work) and the latter for my office job (sedentary work). I almost always feel great at my barn job, but I need a nap by the time I get to the office. Of course, if I spend too much time at the barn, that becomes a "Crap!" job, too.
Find something that challenges you physically and mentally, even if it's completely unproductive in the traditional sense. For me, at this moment, it's working horses. Rock climbing, orienteering, hunting, sports that require complicated strategies... I think the people who do stuff like that are the most "balanced" among us, as far as overall well-being goes.

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been obsessing over my halloween costume, and reading too much (and bringing my book to work, which means I read when I should be posting

)
Anyway, I feel fine. My wis. teeth removal thingy was shockingly... not a big deal. I was sore for a few days, but not too bad, and other than that it was like a normal weekend. My stitches fell out and I almost ate one... that was pretty disgusting.
I am so excited about Halloween!! It's my favorite holiday of the year
And I just started Gardens of the Moon.... so... yay
Hello, everyone.
