I feel exhausted but good. I biked eighteen miles today, and swam one and a half miles. I decided to start on the Eowyn Challenge today, and hope to get from Hobbiton to Rivendell by the end of August. Today, my day 1, I have already traveled more than Frodo and friends did on their day 1. Tomorrow I may even actually walk some of it. :P

Happy. Two more of our books are now award finalists. :)

I had yet another lousy commute. :P
Southbound service was disrupted in San Bruno about 8:30 a.m. when train No. 324 had to wait for another train to come along and push it from behind to continue its run.

Urgh, Sorus. At least you made it in, tho. That's good, right?

Hmm, maybe not. Okay, try this: we're closer to Friday than we were on Monday.

I have GOT to get back into my routine. Between the seafests and Julie's wedding I feel like I have been spinning around and out of balance. I left the puppers home today so I can do some shopping after work. I remembered to bring my reusable bags but forgot to put my book in my tote so I had to stare at the walls on the bus and then some guy struck up a conversation with me. He seemed nice though so it wasn't horrible. However, he did want to rant about the Bush administration and about John McCain. Anyway, I am at work. It's Thursday. I'll run some errands tonight and do some housecleaning and life will start to get back to normal.

Yay! A fellow traveler! I actually haven't done much yet, but I am on my way at least. If you'd like a ticker like mine, you can make them at tickerfactory.com

I actually started because of your post in the hiking thread. It looked like a cool idea, and I'm enjoying it so far. I did another nine and a half miles today, biking, swimming, and walking. I feel excellent. 8)

It's FRIDAY!!! WHOO HOODY!!! Although I am starting off my morning by yet AGAIN painting over the freaking graffitti that appears regularly on the shop building. So annoying. It feels like it's becoming a weekly occurrence. Grrr. :-x But hey, it's FRIDAY!!!!

That's actually quite a good idea. Still, I'm not a Tolkien fan. Couldn't someone do a Covenant-themed one? (Or, to be more obscure, a Lone Wolf-themed one. The distance that man covered, particularly during the taxing journey in Fire on the Water... The mind boggles.)

Hmm, a Covenant-themed one. That has possibilities. From Mithil Stonedown to Revelstone? I wonder how far that would be...

The Eowyn challenge is based off of mileage in the Atlas of Middle Earth by Karen Wynn Fonstad. Since she also made the Atlas of the Land, I imagine we could do the same thing, only Covenant-based. :)

I'm feeling cool--wish I could find the camera to show you the tri-window view form my new office (formerly the garage) with all the monsoon rain and lightning pouring down on them. My hearing isn't at 100%, probably 60-70 now but it's getting better everyday. Just talked to my tilers and they're very busy on dragging their ass on my floors. So, in order to train to work with them (as I will soon be) they're going to drop off all the equipment and walk me through it over the phone. Should be a great challenge! I'm ready!!! 8O (to Malik)

Why -- did I miss something again? (It wouldn't be the first time...)

I know SRD measures stuff in leagues. Just too lazy to look it up in LFB (and anyhow, Magickmaker's absconded with my copy :x ).
