Here's hoping everyone gets a good night's sleep tonight

I'm sure I will.
Been out of the house for 12 hours today, eldest grandson's 7th birthday party this afternoon, a day late.

I lost Helldog in the woods today. I was alone deep in a 1500 acre preserve and she caught a scent and was gone. I looked for her for an hour and a half and finally found her. Then we were both lost. Took another hour to find the path. She was a mess. I am a mess. We are both a mess. and I'm EXHAUSTED!

So glad y'all found each other again!

Yikes! Glad you found the little monster.
I'm tired but in a relatively good mood. The day started off relatively stressful with a big fat manager's meeting about a lot of dramalamadingdong that's going around in the store. I'll blog about it.

That damn pooch.

Glad you're reunited.
Magickmaker's coming over for dinner tonight. Something about home cooking and being broke.

Other than that, it's Thursday -- meh. I was kind of worried about how my mood would be yesterday -- taking Tuesday off was kind of like setting myself up to having two Mondays in the same week.

But it was fine. And tomorrow's Friday.

We just found out that C's Auntie Dubbie died last night. Why she was called Dubbie, we never found out, her name was Elizabeth. She was born in Westmeath, Ireland in November 1911 and celebrated her 100th birthday last year at the care home she had only been in for six months. Up till then she had taken care of herself. She had spent her life caring for others, as a nurse, and as aunt, great aunt and great great aunt. I've known her 42 years and my husband has of course known her all his life.
RIP Auntie Dubbie, we shall all miss you.

A full life, Iolanthe, and a good one Auntie Dubbie had, you describe. My condolences.

Sounds like she was quite a woman.
It's Friday!

Thanks, Damelon and Ali. Yes, she was the last of her generation, the end of an era. We must look to the young for continuance.

Thanks Sarge. Hope I can get to the funeral - four hour journey south - it will be a full Requiem Mass, and I suspect some of her nephews and nieces from Ireland, Canada and America may join us. It will be a good wake.

I got mega flirted with today by Mauro the Brazillian Stallion from the restaurant next door. I'll blog about it. I also tortured Bill the UPS driver a bit as well. I was actually on a roll today and said quite a few inappropriate things to customers as well but couched them in humor so I was able to easily get away with it. Not sure what got into me today but I was definitely in a very odd mood/state of mind.
Iolanthe, sorry about your loss. Remember to think of your happiest moments together and take comfort from those memories. That's how I get through the loss of loved ones.

Missing my son something awful today. Didn't sleep well. Got randomly attacked by that dang cat. Considered staying away from the Watch till I'm not such a drag to be around. Decided to garner a little sympathy anyway.
Jenn, sounds like a very satisfying day!

Deer and Jenn, I've somehow managed to answer your messages here in the "Hug" thread! Put it down to my great age - I have to get used to being 60

So, grab lots of comics, then go home and lay in bed reading them, drinking tea with lemon and honey, surrounded by wrinkled tissues and listening to Husker Du.
