Good Evening and Welcome to the Pantheon Argothoth, though I hear this isn't your first round.

(The past holds little but pain and darkness. Why must it always come back to haunt us?)
We see you, Argothoth. You have the right, of divinity and worship, to assume your place among us. We will not contest that.
But know that the dead are mine.

I doubt you have reason to fear Maeror, although I'm sure Argothoth will have more to say on the matter. I note that he is the God of Time, Darkness, and the Undead. I'm sure he will be able to leave Death in your capable hands.

As you wish Queeaqueg, as you wish.
I wish to offer my alliance to all the deities that want to know more about the secrets of life and death. I dream of knowing the true secret hidden in this universe. I want to learn the greatest of all lore !

Indeed.
I want to offer Maeror my knowledge about the time that flows in life and ends in death. Maybe together we will discover new lore that can increase our powers.

I have filled my Bride, Melirelle, with mutating energy. Every part of her body is filled with my essence. In so doing, I have created a god, The Writhing Womb. Welcome her to the pantheon, fellow gods. Further, I have mutated the soil so that a tower of flesh, bone and stone has arisen. I name it Abomination's Womb, and soon it will begin birthing my master race. But that is not all I wish to speak of.
Undine, you betrayed me some years ago. Did you not think it would escape my notice that you killed the Houka I sent to you in good faith? You slaughtered them in order to convert Porsulis. But I did not act. Instead, I give my support - words only, for now - to Maeror's actions in converting the city. I would rather the Lord of Death - a being I trust - take the city than the likes of you. Maeror, I wish to extend to my thanks and congratulations.
Queeaqueg, you have suffered for you invasion and have been weakened. This is good.
Bhakti, I have utterly destroyed the Houka that you trapped. You are not fit to have them. I also do not wish you to influence them. But you may use their corpses for compost or to feed to your predators. But they will never be used to act against me.
Vadhaka, I do believe I owe you a favour. Feel free to send an ambassador so that we may discuss reparations for your actions over the last few years.
It has become obvious to Eiran that my cult is the most powerful religion in this world. Together, The Writhing Womb and I will unite to push forward my plans for a paradise. However, do not think that I intend to invade other lands or to force mutation upon your people. The Star of Yekith will soon descend, and with it the veil that smothers your sights. Everything will look upon my lands and see how Nor Pupae - the Realm of Flesh - has been mutated into a paradise.
Thankyou, my kin. And many regards.

Greetings and Welcome to the daughter of one of my father's allies, one of my father's actual allies

!

, and Melirelle! *bows* VERY interesting times are these!!
Yek, as far as I can tell, you sent
new -
plague infested - Houka at me and exploded
them. I have not yet heard that you destroyed the Houka I captured several turns ago. I await news of how badly infected my followers are by the plague.

I did not send new Houka, on the Oath of the All Father. I simply destroyed the Houka that were there.
That is your wedding present, oh love-sick one.
As for the plague, well that is news to me.

I am working on a cure to send to you, and to Lord Adamorn. Please accept my condolences. Someone is possibly playing games. Given that a new cult of Houka have sprung up in my lands worshipping demons, I think I know who. There will be retaliation for this.

Undine, I apologise for the violence done to your followers. My people in Porsulis were good, and would not have allowed such a thing to occur, but when the word spread through the city, others were not so kind. It was not my intent to bring harm to your people, but only to reveal your deceit.

The All Father wrote:Followers of Undine in Olaern spread lies about you, proclaiming how you are powerless and how even luck can do nothing against the all-consuming power of the Reeve of the Rivers. Many of your worshipers in Olaern turn from your worship as a result of these lies.
Undine... honey, baby, Oh all-powerful wet and soggy one....
What're you doing to me here? I've helped you out, I've held this child of yours and made sure it was safe, even offered to take care of it for you should it grow up to be your enemy, all asking very very little in return.
This... makes me sad. Makes me feel like you haven't been as straight with me as I've been with you. I don't like lies, I don't like betrayals... they're just too damn much to remember and keep up with. I hope this was a mistake. I hope that it can be remedied.
Give me a call some time. Let's chat.
Yours,
Chisi

Nor Yekkith:

I take exception to your use of the word 'betrayed'. I believe you gave me those Houkas unconditionally, to do with as I saw fit. Yes, I did slaughter them at that time, because I did believe then that they were plague carriers. And yes, I did use the slaughter as a way of showing Porsulis the dangers of consorting with plague-carriers. However, perhaps your idea of 'unconditional' is different from my own. *shrug*
Chisi La'roo:
I commanded all my worshippers to leave your lands several turns ago, at your request. I have not requested any of them to return. I can only assume that your new temple has drawn them in since. I apologize for their mischief and will make amends if you wish.
Maeror:
but only to reveal your deceit
Care to explain that?

You welcomed the Houka Nor Yekith sent to you, and then slaughtered them. You used this as an example of how you protected the people of Porsulis, and they converted to your worship. In essence, you brought them a threat to fear, destroyed it, and said 'look how I keep you safe'. I chose not to leave them worshipping a lie.
As I say, I did not wish to bring your people harm through my action, and for that I am sorry.
(You also appear to be misreading Chisi. The followers who cause her such trouble are not in her own lands, but on Olaern.)

If you were concerned that they were plague carriers you shouldn't have accepted them in the first place. I gave them to you out of thanks for helping me fight the plague (which, strangely enough, you did nothing). But I know everything that happens to the Houka. You used them to show how much of a monster I am, and in so doing Porsulis came over to your worship. Basically, you slaughtered my followers. In that regard, I hereby refuse your people entry to my lands, I will refuse all trade with you, and do not send your ambassadors to me.
Undine, your lies have become apparent this day.

Melirelle, I would like to welcome you in particular. When you were a human follower of Nor Yekith, I did not think it was a good idea to speak to you. But now you are an equal in the Pantheon, and I may speak to you freely.
I became aware of you because of the extremity of your Love for your god. And you are now what you are because of that same Love. Fear not, I do not attempt to sway you in any way with pretty - and, perhaps, meaningless - words. I simply wanted to tell you that I honor the depth of your devotion.
*bows*

Ironically, you have gained power from her love. That it was enough for her to birth my Yekith must have filled you with strength - that she has been ascended to godhood must have given you greater power. Further, Eiran must marvel at love's influence. Perhaps the reason why so many have flocked to your worship.
I am not amazed, however.

Black betrayal! What justice is this, Adormorn? I extend my hand in friendship, and you repay me with the sword!
NEVER! Never should I have trusted!
I will not suffer this! I will not again be-!
Trust me, Adormorn. You will regret your attack.

The Rift in Agathi is being strengthened by the screaming souls of the dead Maeror. Some of those are my followers!
Your Prophet himself was turned away by one of old. Vann, one of yours!
You follow a darkened path Maeror. You are not what you were, and the new is not as light as once was. I feel it is you who will regret the chosen walk you take.
Darkness needs light. I hope I can be light enough.

You planned your attack before you learned any of this, Adomorn. You spoke of friendship when all the time you planned betrayal! You are worse than the ones who banished me!
You will pay!
