There's a thread around here somewhere for addresing that particular issue...
Yeah, I looked at that once, but many abbreviations are one-time events that don't really merit asking for a definition.

Am I correct in assuming that 'comp speak' means 'computer speak'?

I have unlimited txting on my pay as you go plan for $20/month.
drew, would I need to use a country code to dial Nova Scotia? If not, and it's a straight 10-digit number, it might work.

I do too. . it's too quiet around here. *waits for lightning to strike*
I always eat my french fries before touching my entree. I can only eat my entree after all the fries are gone, or after Ive decided I won't eat any more fries.

Holy moly, I do exactly the same thing. Fries that have gone cold and stiff just aren't fun.

Last I heard, he was dealing with some personal stuff. Maybe one day he'll choose to come back and grace us with his presence.

Yeah. . . I won't eat them if they're cold or even overcooked. Yuk!
I am very sensitive to bitter things, and did not like bell peppers or even drink orange juice regularly until I was about 19. I also didn't drink coffee until about 3 years ago, even though back in college I was a barista in a coffeehouse! I still won't drink beer, though my friends tell me it's an acquired taste. I'm still not a fan of peppers, but I will eat them if they are cooked.

I wish him well. Maybe sometimes we forget that he names himself "emotional leper" for a reason.

Names are a powerful thing. . . in a lot of stories and mythologies, knowing a person's true name gives you power over them. So maybe Matrixman is right. . . EL has given us some insight into his life through his username.
I won't speculate further about his reasons. . . that is his place. And for the record, I do also wish him well.
Oh. . . and I discovered the name for being sensitive to bitter things. . . it is called being a
supertaster.
