I can't believe I won wayfriend's money. The end must be nigh...
I don't know what to make of the new contest, so I'll take my time too.
Madlibs? That vaguely rings a bell. Please re-educate me on what they are.

In Mad Libs you randomly choose words to go into blank spots in a short story/paragraph. The parts of speech are given to you so the words make sense syntactically, but usually the context is wrong, which makes it hilarious, especially when read out loud.

You are told to pick a word per language category. Once you finish the list of words, you insert them into the proper space of a mostly finished story, except for your words. Then you read the story back.
Here's an online version of the game:

I'm so glad for the participation.
But can everyone who supplied a
phrase when they were supposed to provide a
word please resubmit? Or else I may have technical problems, and have to disqualify you.
It goes without saying that quoted phrases are
right out.
Thanks,
The Management.

Phrases are funnier than single words.
I've never seen a problem with using phrases in madlibs before.

WF, if you'll accept a phrase for #10, I'd like to use "St. Swithin's Day" there. Otherwise, stick with "half-birthday". Thank you sir.
