That's awesome. Wonder where it fits in the timeline.dlbpharmd wrote:I read last night that Moore is involved in making a 2 hour movie for Sci-Fi channel about the Pegasus. It's supposed to be ready by fall, and is intended to hold fans over until BG returns.
Me too! I'd be neat if they did a series of movies telling the whole story from their perspective. (Personally I'd be thrilled if they did a whole spin-off series, but that obviously won't happen seeing as we know how it ends...)dlbpharmd wrote:Yes, it will! I'm really looking forward to it.
I believe the Woman King is the rising up out of the duldroms. There might be one more episode that is a little slow, but, most of the rest are pretty good.Murrin wrote:Saw The Woman King on saturday. Actually a good episode. Tell me, is this sign of a continuing improvement in s3, or is it all just up and down?
I must say, the relationship storylines--as in Taking A Break From All Your Worries--are really terribly executed. I don't know if it's the actors or the writing, but it really seems to pull the quality of an episode down when they're showing Apollo, Starbuck &c's troubles.
LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- The upcoming fourth season of Sci Fi Channel's "Battlestar Galactica" will be its final one after all.
After months of speculation, the show's producers are set to make the announcement at a press conference Friday.
Ending "Battlestar" with the upcoming 22-episode fourth season was a creative decision made by the hit show's executive producers Ronald Moore and David Eick.
"This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and, finally, an end," Eick and Moore said in a statement Thursday. "Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have been moving strongly toward that end, and we've decided to listen to those internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms. And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there -- we're going out with a bang."
The fourth and final season of "Galactica" will kick off in November with "Razor," an extended two-hour episode, with the rest of the season slated to run beginning in early 2008.
Sci Fi executive vp original programming Mark Stern said the channel's brass "respect the producers' decision to end the series."
For months, Sci Fi had dispelled rumors about "Battlestar" ending its run after the fourth season.
A couple of weeks ago, one of the show's stars, Edward James Olmos, was quoted as saying that the upcoming batch of episodes were definitely the last ones. Sci Fi issued a statement denying such a decision had been made.

Flight of Battlestar Continues
Battlestar Galactica's search for Earth continues to be an open-ended adventure, executive producer David Eick said.
Contrary to comments by Edward James Olmos (Adm. Adama) at the Saturn Awards on May 10, no end has been announced for the award-winning show. Battlestar Galactica is preparing to film its fourth season, one that will include 22 episodes, rather than the previously announced 13.
"For those of you who have been paying attention over the years, this is not the first time Eddie has made an announcement about the possibility of the show's end," chuckled Eick. "I promise you that when [executiuve producer] Ron [Moore] and I make a decision about Galactica's future, we'll let you know."
This may be true, but, I hesitate to assume that. initially the season was renewed for 13 episodes only (Which is not typical SciFi channel practice) and then it was renewed for the a total of 22, and the prequel spinoff Caprica was shelved.. While it's nto proof, that is suggestive that they always intended to tie it up with S4, especially considering the fact that the arc is about "Find the undercover Cylons and get to Earth". Since 4 of the final 5 "secret" cylons have now been revealed, ad Kara has been to Earth, and has returned to guide them, one would think the arc has to be on it's way to the finish line.Murrin wrote:Yeah, that's the denial mentioned by the more recent article. I think when Olmos said it was ending they hadn't actually came to decision on it yet; now, it's been decided.
