Thanks Menolly! Weird....my phone, ACDSee, and Imgur all seem to have different ideas of which way's up... ;)

Aw, she *is* adorable! :)

It just occurred to me that we've created a Watch meme with "apoligies" (sic). Are we trendy or what?

My friend Holly had a squirrel that fell out of it's nest too young when we were teenagers. She named it Basil (British pronunciation) and he loved people and would snug you and when he got old enough and they "released him into the wild" he came back to her house and would sneak attack monster hug you by leaping on you from a tree and burying his face in your hair at the back of your neck. I'm pretty sure that the six years that Basil lived he kept the front door free of Mormons and Avon ladies. Nothing like walking up to a front door only to have a random red tailed squirrel leap from a tree onto your head and then shoulder and wrap himself around the back of your neck in ten seconds flat.

I have heard it pronounced with either a long "a" or a short "a." Doesn't make it right, of course. There are those whose pronunciation skills are right up there with Dan Quayle's command of spelling. It takes all kinds...

Had to apoligise to Avatar today:

In this case voter ID is as much to protect the voter as the integrity of the voting process.
ID doesn't prevent any of that, except maybe stolen votes. Maybe. All ID does is that it proves that you are who you claim to be. As well as ID, we have to be registered on the voters roll here. So you present your ID, they look for it on the roll, you vote, and they mark you off.

Is there vote fraud? Probably. :D
Apoligies to Avatar, and apologies to everyone else. Sorry for the lazy assumptions.

I'll amend my statement to say that, IMO, voter ID becomes necessary when there is the possibility of voter fraud at a significant level to protect the voter from having their vote stolen.

Weird. I forgot about this thread. Apology not necessary, but everybody else...start apologising. :LOLS:

And clearly, you forgot how to spell 'apoligy', a crime for which we expect you to apoligize immediately.

Sheesh. And in your very own thread.

Sorry, it's my unfailing habit to spell things correctly.

However, I am the only person on the Watch whose spelling mistakes it is permissible to make fun of, so you were half right. ;)

No doofus, the misspell is in honour of the thread title.

Ah, how quickly we forget :-(

Hahaha, yes, I know that. However you were making fun of me for not spelling it incorrectly, therefore in the context of the thread, it was misspelled.

My humblest apoligies Avatar. I misunderstood what you were saying about misspellings.

But that doesn't really matter. What matters is that I got to call you a doofus.

Can we call Avatar a doofus? 8O

Is there a thread for that? 8O 8O

Is this the thread? 8O 8O 8O

Avatar, are you a doofus? 8O 8O 8O 8O :hide:

P.S. Sorry, Avatar, I apoligise

Av needs to apoligize for forgetting about this thread.

That would have to be posted in the Apoligies from Avatar thread...or perhaps Apologies from Avatar. Hard to tell whether the ceremonial misspelling would extend that far.
