Almost makes me want to look up the real Title 41 in the US Code. :D

Frosty already did it. It's the 1861 Feed & Forage Act. In fact, all of the codes (including one Vain lost or took out) were real.

RFC-1036 is some bizarre usenet protocol from the 80's about recalling sent messages (that I actually saw quoted in a DMCA takedown) and the missing one that was supposed to be anchor text (Volume 2009 DoDI) was a DoD appeal process for employees appealing enforced furlongs. :D

That was the real logo and the actual address too. (Which is why I made them an image...haha...didn't really want to associate us with that...you'll notice none of the text actually uses the words NSA or anything like that. Cause we get crawled so freaking fast. :D )

:lol: Yeah, the last thing we need is to have the NSA knocking on our door. There are some federal agencies with a sense of humor -- the Centers for Disease Control has a section on their website about preparing for the zombie apocalypse :lol: -- but the NSA ain't known for thinking things are funny...

Haha, yeah...so I took what precautions were possible. And reviewed the US law for displaying the NSA logo. I'm crazy, not stupid. ;)

... or you are the NSA.

It all makes sense now. I mean, nobody can read that fast. It was staring us in the face all the time.

They can probably read text from images with their crawlers, you know.

:lol: WF.

OCR is a different tech to that used by Google's spiders (for now). :D They could read it if they wanted, but the spiders rely mostly on alt tags and titles and captions (and maybe EXIF data I've heard suggested) to interpret images.

Haha, wouldn't you know it. Google has just introduced a feature that can search images in it's Keep note taking solution. And if they can do that...looks like what I said there might not be true afterall. :D

I've been getting the:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@kevinswatch.ihugny.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

message fairly consistently over the last couple of days. The posts are writing to the server alright, as they are appearing in the thread, but it's a bit of a pain all the same :?

I'm also not getting my new posts notifications for the threads I'm following.

Help, Vain!

I get internal server errors from over a half of my posts, independent of the time of the day. Starts becoming a real pain in the arse...

Anyone else registering a ghost poster from the distant past on the Index?

That's my alternate ID - it's four space characters. (Three space characters was taken, can you believe it?)

Also, I set my timezone to GMT - 4000000000 hours in my profile, so everything I post looks really old.

I am posting this under wayfriend's account, but I am not wayfriend.

I'm seeing the same thing, Menolly. Apparently it's only affecting GenDisc. Weird.

Think that bug sometimes happens when a post has been deleted.

On the main page I am seeing an image placeholder next to the RSS link thingy.
I think it's supposed to be a button for google+ or something. Not my forte.
But neither the image URL nor the HREF URL seem to be valid any more.

Code: Select all

<a href="http://fusion.google.com/add?source=atgs&feedurl=http%3A//kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/rss.php">
  <img src="http://gmodules.com/ig/images/plus_google.gif" border="0" alt="Add to Google">
</a>

It appears in Firefox as 'Add to Google' which when clicked upon generates this 404 error:
404. That’s an error.

The requested URL /add?source=atgs&feedurl=http%3A//kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/rss.php was not found on this server. That’s all we know.

I think this was brought up elsewhere recently. The issue is that Google Fusion, along with Google Reader, their RSS service, no longer exists.

Haha, funny, I thought of that yesterday for the first time and clicked the link to get the same 404. I'll ask Vain to remove it. (Or maybe I can disable the mod or something.) Will check it out on the weekend, when I do the forum titles.
