Allright, first off, I'd like to make an announcement about a major shift in the rules of the game, namely the Treasury statistic. Because it has become a bit cumbersome on one hand, and on the other hand a few players don't seem to have grasped what they can do with it, I've decided to get rid of it entirely. In order to be fair to everyone, I have decided to calculate Treasuries up to this turn and convert them into one-time-only "extra" DRPs that you will be able to use between the coming turn and the end of the game year. These extra DRPs will resemble the divine right of Courts (they will not be replenished between turns, and once they are gone, they are gone); they also cannot be "stored" after the end of the game year, so if you don't spend them all by then, the remaining ones will be gone by the beginning of the next game year.
Cities will still affect Contentment and number of worshipers, though, so they'll still be important - remember that depending on your area of influence, some cities may either boost or decrease the Contentment of your people. This may not always be a bad thing...

Now, that said, I'll move on to a cryptic hint or two... So I'll start big, by saying at least one deity has suffered a MASSIVE loss of followers and power this turn, due to internal strife. I'll also say that the moves of some deity have taken a bold, but very very dark turn which will undoubtly annoy at least two or three more deities, and which may well create a greater danger to others than they previously realized...

Since we are coming up on Turn 11, that would mean two turns to spend them in?

cho's people has been harassed so much, I expect not to see much DRP gain from Treasury conversion for her anyway. I'll deal...somehow.

My question now becomes how to justify non-DRP moves without Treasury then...

I'm going to have to curb those moves... on the other hand, part of the problem was that there was a constant increase in players using 1 treasury point in order to perform non-DRP moves - which was getting even worse than when non-DRP blessings were allowed.

what about changing the rules to only being able to use Treasury if you have the 5 that counts as 1 DRP. I liked having another way of doing things without being limited by the fact that followers may become scarce.

Well, the only other possibility I envision is not only to do as you suggest, but also to set a maximum amount of Treasury you can store at any given time, just in order to avoid people amassing ludicrous amounts of Treasury and then suddenly have 20 DRP worth of Treasury to spend as they wish... Though that would be definitely more complicated than simply getting rid of Treasury altogether.

well...being as I still haven't figured out how cost of Treasury moves are figured, I assume this doesn't applied to me. I just figured if I didn't have enough to cover what I said happened, it didn't happen...

As to Treasury and DRP - I always thought Treasury could only impact ... mortal efforts (founding a city) rather than something deific - "Deva gives Calais 20T to raise a resort continent" would NOT be allowed. Was my assumption correct?

My understanding was that a certain amount of treasury was necessary to keep your realm functioning.

I use treasury if I'm moving someone around, or building something - I figure it's the infrastructure cost that Unzen or Varmor are too busy to think about, or something that's mundane to spend a drp on... Hiring ships, paying for food for the army, or for bribes, that kind of thing.
