What you are feeling Av is not the shortness of my membership, but the length of your own!
(just realised the possible double entendre in that statement - a ships length away from obscenity but hell - we're all adults here

)
SARGE! I thought you were joking - That is awesome in the real sense of the word!

Pffft, it's quality, not quantity that counts.
peter wrote:What you are feeling Av...
Maybe...but I note you didn't answer my question.

Anyway, I did some searching and solved it. You spent the first couple years posting almost exclusively to the TC forums. That's why I never noticed you much.
About time you branched out and enjoyed the rest of the Watch.

Why thank you. I'm quite partial to me myself.
(And congrats Sarge.)

mallorys is a valid way of expressing oneself.

I'm not good with computers Av, and it took a couple of years to recognize that there was so much more than the Chrons forums going on. Have to say though I look back fondly to those days in that I really was doing what I came here to do in the first place - to discuss my love of the Chrons. I wouldn't give up the rest of the Watch for anything now - but it is easier to slip into the non-TC stuff and engage in debate rather than give the Chrons the attention they so richly deserve. Perhaps I'll make it a belated resolution to post more often in the place that has to be the heart of the Watch - The 1st and 2nd Chrons forums.
What is 'Mallory's' Sarge - I've seen it but never quite got what it is about?

Yeah, although you "express" yourself everywhere. How many picture threads are running in Gen Disc right now huh?
Peter, Mallorys is a forum for games. The amusing kind, not the role-playing kind. (Gravin Threndor is for the role-playing kind.)
Yeah, look, the Chrons are all very well, and almost everybody here has a love for them one way or another. But it's tough to talk about them for more than a couple years, y'know?
I found this place because I was looking for somewhere that discussed them, but that's not why I stayed.
(Oh, did we congratulate Murrin on 11K? I see he's passed it.)

they are all on target for for the threads in question.
btw i have
9025 mallorys posts at the moment.
i have
23,032 non mallorys posts.
the second number would drop me to fourth in top posters.

Actually, now I think of it - the main reason I never ventured out of the '1st and 2nd Chrons' forum was that when I 'entered' the Watch each time, the first page I got was always this one that listed the latest posts on the threads in this forum. I never ventured outside these threads because to do so you had to click on these random titles on the side that I didn't know what meant - and every time I did so I finished up in places with lists of stuff that I also didn't know what meant. Don't know how I 'broke free' but I did in the end somehow. Those threads were very active in those times though with lots of new stuff appearing and people contributing.

I have
1160 posts
And
847 of them... oh yeah)
That would drop me... out of a certain club, and by far. Good
everything counts
peter - check out our ad in the gen Disc) And it's for games, right, but not only the amusing kind. There are senseless ones there, but there are ones based on logic and creativity and provoking thought as well.
Av, I think you judge the Mallory's based on the ABC games and the like. Why don't you try the more thought-provoking ones there? I may give you a list
But I certainly agree on the point about about staying here. I also came here because of the Chrons, but stayed because of the people.

one person starts... and leaves "points of entry" for discussion on their posts... others will follow.

"What Mallory's is to Me"
When I first saw "In Pursuit of Mallory," I was like "ABC's of..." games? Why?
But now I've found a number of games I -love- to keep up with, even if I'm mostly reading and laughing rather than playing... I think there's more diversity there than I saw when I first glanced at Mallory's a couple years ago. More challenges to be nerdy or creative in writing, or hilarious too, I'd say.

And from such an unlikely suspect, too! lol!
Hmmm. Well, like most people, I gotta ask, "how can I justify myself?" So here goes:
...maybe, some newbs... "need" to know about...
ahh, ermm... okay, lemme try again... it's providing valuable information ...albeit in a rather off-topic fashion...
...hmm, that won't do either..
Oh, alright, enough Mallory's stuff outta me!
