I've been under the weather all week (stupid change of seasons), and finally feeling better. I just couldn't get enough sleep.

Churchill really didn't want to get stuck with the big needle this morning. i had to stick him a couple of times and he was not happy about it. poor old fella.
he's hangin in there but...i don't know for how much longer. both Ger and i are spending a lot of time lovin on him tho and he seems really happy for the added extra attention.
it's true what John Gorka says in that song...
people love you when they know you're leaving soon

Hugs to everybody having a bad day...
(although for the sickies, I'll be donning a face mask first, thanks.)
Elfgirl, your vacation sounds totally awesome!
Doing okay here. It's Friday, yay! Not as cold as yesterday, but now it's raining and I left my umbrella at home. So I predict I'll be wet later.

Good for you. I wish all creatures had such an exit. Honestly

UUUUGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! When does this go away? Man, I really hate the flu........Feel like rewarmed garbage. A hot, flacid reanimated corpse more like. Blah!!!! I managed to make a few posts, but my eyeballs are being poached in bacon grease again, back to bed.
Hey, Princess, I took your advice, but it didn't seem to work.....how long does this supposed to last?

Several days, I'm afraid. Keep repeating what I told you until you begin to feel human again. THEN make sure you wash all of your linen in hot water, and get a new toothbrush. . . just in case. Some of these things are viral, and some bacterial. It's best to be safe, just in case you had any element of a bacterial URI. But you should be talking to the pharmacist. . . not me.
Take care, Shawn.
As for me. . . well, one of my clients became agitated today(she was in trouble for cursing out a staff member at the sheltered workshop). I got down on her level (she was sitting in a chair) and tried to soothe her, and convince her that she might need to take some PRN medication for agitation (so that she wouldn't get into more trouble). As I crouched right next to her, she became very angry and YELLED very loudly regarding her viewpoint about the situation (not very nice). Anyhow, my ear hurt a lot when it happened, but I thought it would get better--like when you've gone to a concert and your hearing is temporarily affected. Besides, I had a psychiatrist appointment that was 45 miles away with another client, so I had to go. Anyway, my ear doesn't hurt as bad as it did, but things still sound muffled a bit in that ear. I'm afraid that some damage has been done to my ear. . . and with it being a Friday night (got off of work at 6pm) I don't know quite what to do about it.
I guess I'll call my office manager in the morning if it isn't better.

I'm feeling pretty good this morning. Yesterday, I was afraid I was starting to come down with something. I had a slight headache most of the day, and felt kind of run down. A good night of rest seems to have done the trick though.
The weather, which has been crummy the last three days, has also cleared up. The sun is coming up gloriously! I think it's going to be a good day.

Sorry you got yor ear screamed into Lyr! Youch! That's gotta hurt! Still feel like crap, feeling a tad stronger today, maybe I'll kick this flu's behind yet...heh.

Have to agree with you Damelon, the weather has been pretty lousy lately, you're not too far from me, we pretty much get the same lousy weather!

Nervous. I have a new computer, and I need to figure out how to transfer my programs over from the old computer using PCmover. I am NOT an expert.

Best of luck, Joy! A new comp is always exciting and stressful.

As you freshly know.
The biggest worry is whether the old computer will overheat and shut down in the middle of the transfer. I'm hoping it will let me do one program at a time -- less opportunity to overheat.
And, of course, I've never seen PCmover before, so I have no idea if I'll understand the instructions. I expect I'll finish circling around it, biting my nails, within a few hours, and get to work on it.

I was kind of confused for a bit when I looked at my computer's clock and saw that it had just gone 1am, again.
Completely forgot about the clocks going back, heh.

Glad to hear all is well with you now.
My ear doesn't hurt today, so I may be in the clear.

OOooh. . I made a rhyme!

Slightly more confused when my computer put itself back another hour when I turned it on this morning.

I would be confused as well Murrin, maybe your PC has a time loop installed? Ever find yourself repeating the same actions over and over again? Perhaps this may be the fifth time you've read this?! For crying out loud unplug the PC!!
