Description: We begin with a powerful simulation activity whereby participants get to experience the ways in which other key stakeholders experience their roles, and the ways in which they use power to meet role demands. Issues of role clarity, power, authority, and how individual leaders/managers can work together to minimize tensions between stakeholders will be presented. By working from a DHS-inspired case study, the outcomes from this course will serve as a foundation for how skill sets of your team members can be best utilized. This course will provide a foundational communications framework that can be used with all staff so that what people hear and respond to is clearer —and problem-solving becomes more efficient and effective. This course will also use an actual DHS scenario so participants can practice relevant problem-solving skills and communication “essentials.” Provide a quality-focused framework that will help you accomplish quality outcomes through collaboration even in situations where you do not have authority to guarantee engagement and collaboration. A final activity will be provided that links all the leadership skills explored throughout the training.

I find the round bottoms much much harder to walk on. I think they design them that way to make your muscles work harder and build up mass.sgt.null wrote: have to try some Sketchers and the have a rolling bottom thing that will make walking easier for me.
Ali, stakeholders seem to be the workers, customers/ consumers were the clients. It was another stupid training filled with role playing and nonsense. Of course they made a fatal error. They gave me the role of a consumeraliantha wrote: lorin -- so "stakeholders" is code for "clients"? Oy. I feel your pain....
SCORE!!!lorin wrote:Ali, stakeholders seem to be the workers, customers/ consumers were the clients. It was another stupid training filled with role playing and nonsense. Of course they made a fatal error. They gave me the role of a consumer. Make me sit in a training at 8am and they got the full monty. I screamed at them, told them they made big ass salaries and had big houses and I was pregnant with four kids stuck in a f - - king shelter and maybe I gotta go live with them. I think they actually got pale. Remember most of them have never even met a homeless person.
Anyway, two more days of this crap next month. I should be fired after two more sessions of role playing.
