Yay to all those with good things. Healing/hoping wishes to all those who need them.
I feel great. I had a fab weekend. Saturday I did my laundry and then we barbecued at Julie's house. My infamous burgers (see the galley for recipe) and some sausages and salad and oven fries and watched "Slingblade" then Karen and I hit Olive for some pomegranate martinis before calling it a night. She stayed over so we could go boogie boarding in the morning. By the time we actually reached the beach it was late afternoon. Brunch and an errand held us up a bit. The waves were crazy. We caught several piggy back waves which is where the wave in front is short and crashing so you grab it because right on it's back is another wave so it flings you into shore twice. There was a great dog named Hank who liked to run up and splash us when we got close to shore. Then we had dinner and came back to my place and made uber cool t-shirts for a yacht rock event coming up on Aug 27th. Pictures are posted in the parody of yacht rock thread. Then I printed another iron on which is a medley of Moose. I also got to yammer with Damelon on the phone and some other watchers via im. Good weekend all around.

Seems like I played chauffeur all weekend. Drove Magickmaker back and forth to work on Saturday. She practically insisted I come to the store before she got off-shift so that I could see the kitties. She is lobbying for us to get another cat, since Batty is talking about taking Tommy Wommy once her girlfriend gets an apartment. I would still have Magickmaker's kitty, Morgan, but Morgan is very "needy" when she is an only cat, which is why we got Tom in the first place. I am kinda ready to take a break from pets, actually, and would rather have Batty take *both* cats.

But we shall see.
Anyway, yesterday Magickmaker and I did some power back-to-school shopping -- we got everything on her list! -- and then went out for Thai food. So, a good day, other than the new contacts driving me crazy. I'm having a big problem with dry eyes -- way more so than when I wore contacts before. Urgh. I go back to the doc for a status check on Thursday; I guess I'll ask her about it then.

pomegranate martinis! Wow sounds great! Tho here we, of course, prefer the wily pomerita.

Congratulations on the grand-baby, Sarge! I also hope Julie's mother does better.
I've been dodging raindrops today. A big downpour this morning caught me outside my car, and even though I was outside for only 30 seconds, I got soaked.

Congrats on the newest edition Sgt!
As for me, pretty exhausted right now. I have spent the week in the land of DIY. Painting, clearing out and having custom shelves put up in my room.
Although to be fair I let the actual DIY to the mister. He is so much happier in charge of the power tools!
