. Make me sit in a training at 8am and they got the full monty. I screamed at them, told them they made big ass salaries and had big houses and I was pregnant with four kids stuck in a f - - king shelter and maybe I gotta go live with them. I think they actually got pale. Remember most of them have never even met a homeless person.
Anyway, two more days of this crap next month. I should be fired after two more sessions of role playing.

The sun is out, it is almost hot! Dare I turn the central heating to summer (hot water only)?

I find the round bottoms much much harder to walk on. I think they design them that way to make your muscles work harder and build up mass.

We had a bit of double whammy excitement at work today. It's also very creepy to know that one of our criminals is us watching closely for extensive periods of time before he makes his move.
I'll blog about it.

Yep, he was watching very close. Crazy Russian label guy was in causing a scene and when he finally Sal and I had to do the reports and left Gilbert up front and as soon as Julie called for manager override on a register he saw his opportunity and took it. Stacked the blackberry and the lenovo like toast and yanked them both and ran like hell. You even see him move the sandwich board sign out of the way so he won't trip on it on his way out.

As someone who has put my fist through my share of windows I'm afraid to ask

Nah, it was an accident.

Didn't need stitches luckily.

I have to be at work a half-hour earlier than usual today. I signed myself up for CPR training and they're starting it at the uncivilized hour of 9am.

My certification expired several years ago, so I guess it's time. At least they aren't making people do the breathing part of CPR any more....

Help! I started reading this book on Friday night, didn't get much chance to pick it up again until Monday night; just nearly missed my bus stop because I had my head in it, and just spent another hour downstairs in the "smoking area" (I hadn't had one since 9.30 this morning) reading more. I've nearly finished it - I've been SEIZED!

Bob Mould is reissuing his Sugar catalog and one solo record as well. great news, now if they would only do the Husker Du catalog. Grant has done most of his already.

Remember that old movie with David Niven called Stairway to Heaven. In the movie he is brought up to heaven where he is judged for his life's work. The good and the bad. Every time I finish one more day at this job I replay that movie in my head. I imagine what I would present as my life's accomplishments.
I can put together a hell of an Excel report
I can skew numbers with amazing dexterity.
that's about it. Think it will be enough to earn my way in?

Not much good at "reviews". I judge a book by how much I enjoy it, and I did. Characters must have been well written as I was interested enough in them to want to know what would happen to them next. Strange story, but somehow completely believable.
