Ayup Stonemaybe...
It appears not. Actually, I'm a little surprised I haven't been asked, TBH.
As a Brit in the Heart of England, who works in a Quarry, we don't say 'Hello' or 'Hi', We say 'Ayup' Instead. Even the Lorry (Sorry, Truck ) Drivers do the same.
It's just an old-Fashioned way of saying 'Hello' and It's just Natural to me now.

I'm reading Steven Erikson's House of Chains. I'm through the long pre-story of Karsa Orlong, and am at the point where the story picks up from Deadhouse Gates.

Excellent! I'm past halfway through my reread. But at my speed, you'll probably finish first, if you don't stop. Anyway, remember the Karsa stuff, because we get the set-up for it in the next book. Pretty cool when you say, "Oh,
that's how they got there!" There's even a moment from MoI that's explained in MT.

Yeah I've just started a re-read too. A couple of chapters into GotM but this time I intend to combine it with Esslemont - I've got NoK and RotCG on order.

No, wait for the others and do it in order. I think AATE is the best of the new chrons so far.

Just finished Mark Lawrence's dark, fun, and entertaining
Prince of Thorns. I think he could be the next Joe Abercrombie...
Check out the blog for the full review.

Finished Neverness a couple of days ago. Blew my mind, so today I went straight back to the same bookstore where I found it and got TBG. I'm excited, but I have to say
I hope Danlo is less of a dick than his father was.

TBG is much better IMHO.

Your hopes are fulfilled, Cambo.
It seems that I like Neverness more than most, and rate it as good as any of the other individual books.

TBG is one of the best books ever written, that's an unfair comparision Av. Besides it's much easier to know what's going on in Zindell's universe once you've read Neverness. Neverness is very male oriented and in it's way makes the transition from our now to the TBG a bit easier. I love Neverness, so screw you.

Finally started Erikson's Dust Of Dreams last week during my vacation. I like it so far, although I cannot remember the backstory of all the characters. Tehol keeps cracking me up.
