Well, you're right. I just returned home from a drive to the woman's place who found the items. So mum got her jewelry back. It is nice to know there are honest and decent people in the world.

Same. I grew up watching Cosmos, reading his books . . . he's been a big influence on my life.

Mine as well......He's the reason why I have a 12" telescope, I saw some really great stuff on his show, and wanted to see it for myself. It's taken a long time to get the telescope, but VERY well worth it! There's a MASSIVE universe out there just waiting to be seen. The physics that goes along with it are really groovy too. ;)

8O 8O 8O You have a 12" Newtonian telescope? Oh my god, you lucky lucky man. I'm thinking about spending 5000 AUS$ on a telescope in December.

Yep!! A dobsonian to be exact, the dang thing weighs a freakin' ton, but that's no great shakes!! I don't mind moving the heavy sucker. I had a VERY skilled mirror master here in the U.S. make it for me, rather than a f4.5 I had him make it at f6.5. Much longer tube and still fast enough for galaxy work and a barlow lens makes it really great for planetary stuff. I can honestly say I have seen Pluto with my telescope, that was a nightmare but really worth the hunt!!!! ;)

*drools* Man. . . I suddenly see a trip to Memphis in my very near future. :D ;) My Knight-Protector, BBQ, Blues, a pyramid, and a fantastic telescope. . . sounds like reason enough to make a 6 hour drive. :D You up for it?

Go Luci! He needs to be kept on his toes. . . can't have him getting arrogant, can we? :D

And for the record. . I routinely get thrashed by Luci too.. . (and Creator. . . and Matrixman for that matter!). My scrabble skills are not quite honed yet. All three of them keep me humble. . . :P

:Hail: :Hail: :Hail: I worship thee. How hard is it to use a Dobsonian? I've always been worried that it's difficult to stabilise the image.

danlo destroys the world!

I'm excited! But I'll probably feel better after the Advil kicks in. Stayed up till 1:45 drinking Merlot and kicking German, Portugese and Russian 'expert status' ass at backgammon. Winning an incredibly close 64 along the way. I'm listed as a beginner-I had a Chinese 'expert' by the cajones in the first game, but he ran away! :P :D

I feel pretty devastated today, my girlfriend has moved out and is going to the states for a three month break. My small house feels big and empty without her here, i just wish i could hibernate until she gets back, like a bear.
