The Eclipse is not a court. Nor Yekith can be a member of both. It's like being a member of an official political party and also having an unofficial alliance as well. After all, plenty of gods here in courts have alliances of sorts with neutral gods.variol son wrote:Does that mean Nor Yekith is now a member of the Sunset Court and the Eclipse?

I didn't think it was a Court, was just checking.

It does however provide certain difficulties for other gods. Sunrise and Sunset were set up specifically to be at odds with eachother. Part of the reason Eclipse was set up, iirc, was as a defensive organisation for those gods who were not in a court. Now that Nor Yekkith is a member of Sunset, he becomes a legitimate target for Sunrise. So, if Sunrise fulfils its purpose to oppose Sunset, will the defensive clause of Eclipse comes into play?
Or maybe that's the point!? Is Nor Yekkith joining Sunset, a declaration of war by Eclipse on Sunrise?

A very good turn. All came out as I expected, and many things exceeded my wishes. It's amusing to read how cocky some have become.
I haven't declared war on any one in that court.Stonemaybe wrote:Is Nor Yekkith joining Sunset, a declaration of war by Eclipse on Sunrise?

Or your paranoia has embellished the point... ;pStonemaybe wrote:
But I notice both you and Lore have avoided my point, which makes me think my assumption is correct.
Seriously, though, I don't think it would be in the spirit of the game for Montresor to discuss the intentions of Eztlicoatl. You can always send him a message. But, I guess, common-sense dictates that if you attack an Eclipse member, the Eclipse Alliance will respond. Otherwise, what would be the point of it?

Different characters express their extreme arrogance in different ways, eh? One can barely bring himself to speak with the others, who are not in nearly the same league as him. Another laughs and taunts the others. Yet another taunts the Allfather. Which deity is most arrogant and annoying, and should have special attention drawn to his behavior?

well one of those mentioned above isnt so much arrogant as merely thinking it is the only actual god.
Kinda like how the void is only three years old, yet for three it has been the oldest thing in non existence because its people believe that it is. Montresors god is believed to be the one and only god, so therefore is self aware of itself in that sense. Hardly arrogant, just shaped differently.
But mocking the all father, now thats gotta take balls

And yet, Eztlicoatl gets along swimmingly with at least the Void and Nor Yekith. (As far as I know, tawhiri-matea didn't attack me, so I have no idea about that relationship.) Has he come to believe there are three one and only gods, so those two are his equal? Or do his private communications to them have the same tone as the ones to Z and the others I've heard about? Yes, this is a silly discussion. I'm just saying, people who live in glass houses...
As Dorian said, industrial size balls. Definitely adds a new dimension to the game.Devaguhya wrote:That's ME!!

You do such claiming you are a fundamental domain to existence itself, yes?Devaguhya wrote:That's ME!!

That according to Deva's teachings, Life and Death existed before all other domains. But nearly all philosophies claim Light came into the Oblivion, Water and Birth brought forth Life, or Fire and Ice created Water which then brought forth Life. All of these were fundamental before Life or Death existed, if I am remembering my comparative philosophies and religions correctly.
And even if the first example of Life was fully formed and mature upon Birth or Creation, even those supersede Life in overall existence. So I also agree that mocking the AllFather is daring, and definitely not something I would flaunt about. There are other domains around which would argue your teachings...

I'm pretty sure the first thing that existed in the, er, Void (8O) was some ice. And this cow came along, and started licking it, for the salt. And it uncovered a giant frozen in there. And on and on... Not sure where you folks are getting your information.
Beside that, though, it's turtles, all the way down.

Frederick I used to call himself the King in Prussia (not the King of Prussia), so as not to offend the Holy Roman Emperor. There are many ways language can be used to save everyone's sensibilitiesFist and Faith wrote:And yet, Eztlicoatl gets along swimmingly with at least the Void and Nor Yekith.
