I play cribbage online once and a while.
a link? did you grow up playing> if so, where did you grow up? i grew up in New Hampshire. my mom, grandmother and aunt all played. julie and i play.
and yes i am excited to find another cribbage player. no one in texas plays it seems.
It's the only card game my dad will play. I play it online more than face to face these days. I go to Yahoo when I get the urge to play. You have to be signed up with Yahoo to play:

*WHINE!*
Can you tell I have nothing better to do right now than complain? Guess it's time to go to class.
When I first read your message, I read, "Voting day today" instead of tomorrow, and I wondered why the heck your state was voting ahead of the rest of the country (early voting notwithstanding).

Rock on!

I wish I had six weeks of vacation. . I only get 2 weeks a year.

Stupid work-a-holic Americans. . .
I feel. . . irritable. The phone has rung off of the hook all day long! First one party, then the other. . trying to persuade us to vote one way or the other! That's what you get when you have one registered Democrat and one registered Republican living in the same house.

We're one of the states that you have to declare a party affiliation in order to be able to vote in the primary. Sheesh. . .
I think I will be finding something to keep myself busy tomorrow night in order to avoid the election coverage. I'll just tune in on Wednesday morning and find out the results then.
I think I'll go look at the moon for while before I go to bed. . earlier it was so beautiful. . . all full. . and a pale orange. . . a Harvest Moon!

I live in one of those states as well as a contested congressional district. Out of the last 20 calls, 17 came up as out of area on the caller id. The last couple of weeks I haven't been answering the phone without checking the caller id. If I don't know the number, I don't answer.

Yay for only having a cell phone... this is what I do year round...
Anyway, I feel good. No reason for happy feelings, I guess, but there's no reason for NOT happy feelings so I guess that makes me feel happy. Yay!
Also, I want this shirt:

The thought of owning that shirt makes me happy.
That's all I got. Love to you all!!

It's been interesting seeing all the complaints around the place about this. Especially with what else I heard about it: that in some states, the Republicans were funding automated call services to contact Democrats and undecided voters with a message purporting to be from the Democrat party--an attempt to annoy people into not voting.
the only fun part of this is having a machine that plays the calls out loud as they are being recorded. so...i have calls on my machine from Bill Clinton, Gavin Newsom (our mayor), Al Gore, Barbara Boxer, every democratic actor from Susan Sarandon to Peter Coyote, and of course, the obligatory call from Ahnold. its kinda fun. heh

Feel kind of aimless today. I guess it's cause the semester is ending and it's been all too easy. I already finished one "big project" and the other two are jokes. Additionally, I'm in better shape than I've ever been, so my health hasn't been providing me any challenges.
I need something to do! Somebody--quick--give me a problem! Math equation? Have a psychological disorder that needs evaluation? Ahhh!
Guess I'll just play a video game or something. Or coat myself in soild gold.

-Had couple of lovely days.
Got a speeding ticket yesterday driving home from work--and one of those damn traps, where everybody speeds because it's a shortcut...I just happened to be the last person in the linee.
$272.00 fine due December 21st -thank you-thank you Mister RCMP man...I didn't want to use that money towards Christmas or anything..of course how is he supposed to know I had kids, I was only driving a minivan with three car seats in it.
Oh, and in this province you loose your licence for a week too-so I also get to loose a weeks pay!!
The today, while on delivery at a military base, some meat-head Military Police decides to give me greif while I was at the exit gate because I wasn't wearing my seatbelt--I tried to explain that we don't normally wear them while working as we are in and out of our vehivles so much...but of course since all MP's pretty much are French, he acted as if he didn't understand me, and wouldn't open the gate until I buckled up...but I made damn sure he saw me take it off as soon as I passed the gate.
**Man I've got to get a new job..I'm not really a bitter resentfull person**

Lol, that is fun. I missed the ones from other national celebrities, but I got the one from Bill Clinton.
Foul, I will send you something to do as soon as I stop being so tired I can't think. I tore a minor branch of my Achilles tendon. Pain can be exhausting.

Crappy, vexed, and a few other choice words I will not post here. It seems that the world as whole has fought against me today, snide comments, off color jokes(at my expense of course) and the list goes on and on. I guess I should have stayed in bed. Well, tomorrow is another day,*groans loudly* lovely, peachy, yada yada yada, pphhbbbbbbllllllttttt!!!!!!!
Fine, I hope the world is happy!!

Sad.
I've had this cactus for 7 years. It's really cool, gets pink and green grow rings on it and it had grown to over 18 inches tall. Well, I repotted it the other week (because I hadn't done it in years) but didn't have the right cactus potting mix, so put it in some cheap stuff (thinking that would be just as good). But NO! I noticed it had fallen over today, and looking at it closely realised it has rotted at the base. MY CACTUS IS DEAD!
How sad. Can't believe it's dead. At least it flowered once in its 7 years...<sigh>. Good-bye my dear prickly friend. <sob>

You would think that cacti are very tolerant to bad conditions, but it is not so. Sorry to hear about the demise of your cactus friend.

Yeah Lyr, I think the problem is I watered it after repotting it...which is a no-no...and then I think I might have watered it again the other day. It was on a high shelf, so unless I took it down I couldn't see how wet it was...so it's my own fault: overwatering *and* cheap potting mix that doesn't drain as well! I KILLED IT!
