All of everyone's full stats should be up on Google Docs now. For backgrounds (retainers, herd, etc.) I tried to add descriptions of what the actual people involved were. Please everybody double-check your stats and let me know of any discrepencies. In some cases, I couldn't remember which languages everybody had, be sure to check those specifically.

Those who are playing changers, I'm pretty sure the PDF sheets that I had didn't include all of the necessary gifts and whatnot, so I expect we'll need to work that stuff out now.

Sorry it took so long. We lost Interwebs for most of the day yesterday, which pretty much killed my ability to mess around on Google Docs.

And, here's some experience for everyone.

Not anymore. (Sorry, I was cutting and pasting from one person's sheet to the next, so I didn't have to retype all the attribute names again. Guess I forgot to edit that field afterwards.)

So, without trying to exclude anybody, I wish you all a happy winter holiday season. (I'm pretty sure that all my players are in the Northern Hemisphere.) I've used this time to hammer out some further plot twists for Vienna, to make sure that everybody is pulled into the action. I've also fixed all the broken pictures in the threads (especially the NPC threads, etc.)

Just thought I'd brag a little bit here. Go check out the combat post for the East Gate thread. I'm rather proud of the map I made there. Had to find, download, install, and then learn a Mac-based painter program, in an afternoon. Think it worked out pretty well, for what it was, in that amount of time.

Which is not to suggest that it's okay for everyone to get all combat-happy. I'd still rather free-form stuff when I can. But when there are 21 armed people in a small area, all pulling out weapons... sometimes, you just gotta start working on the map.

Hey folks. Sorry for the lack of posting. Work started up again after the holidays. And classes started up today. And... what's up with these freakin' teachers assigning readings that are DUE on the first day of class? What's up with that? That's just wrong. Wrong, I say.

Should be able to get back into stuff tomorrow afternoon.

It was the first week of classes for me as well. One class I'm taking doesn't have an assigned textbook but there's 1-5 articles of assigned reading per week that hasta be done before class.

I meant to post this over the holidays, but you do such a great job with this Goat. It's really awesome to see your new posts and how you manage all this, thanks for your hard work!

Last quarter, one of my classes had 2-3 readings that had to be done, plus a 1pg "reflections" paper we had to turn in two days before class, so the prof could return them to us during class. (Class was only on Fridays.)

This quarter, one class had a $150 book listed as required. If you check the reading schedule, we're required to scan all 18 chapters of the book before class starts. But otherwise, we never go back to that book again. I chose to scan it in the bookstore and then not purchase it.

Yea, I would've done the same thing if possible. I'm actually borrowing my psyc textbook from the professor, he said I could either return it at the end of the term or pay him for it if I wanted to keep it. Otherwise I've spent $110 on a used text for accounting and have to spend another $100 on a used macroeconomic's text this term. They're such a rip off, lol.

I kept my Econ books for about 10yrs after school. Sold the Acct books right away, though.

GK6 knows already, but I may be a little out of it for the week. Had my wisdom teeth pulled and I'm recovering. If I post anything that's nonsense, that'll be why.

We have an assignment due this evening that I wasn't expecting. (Bad time management on my part. The schedule lists it... I just assumed that a Friday-only class meant stuff was due on Fridays...)

So should be light flow of posts today, but heavier flow tomorrow.

(Trying to ignore the weird overtones of comparing a vampire game to a menstrual flow. Though, they both involve blood...)

So... for anyone who's been watching the dice rolling thread over in GT Talk, you might notice that in the course of bragging about my mad Excel skillz replacing physical dice... I discovered a minor computational error in my formula. Which would not only make botches less likely, but also make 10s less likely. Rerolling 10s is a big part of the power gamer toolbox, and I've been inadvertently denying that to you.

Apologies all around. I'll fix my sheet tomorrow, before I do any more dice rolling.

Again, apologies for the long delay. Stuff came up. Nothing major, just time consuming. And while I hope to be able to post somewhat this week and next, there's a fairly big project due next weekend, so I need to get started on it. School project, that is. Work seems to be mellow again (though yesterday and today were a bit rough, I think we're through that). There was actually a chance that I'd have been flying to North Carolina next week, but that got canceled. Rather, someone from closer to there will be flying in instead.

Given the complexity of the East Gate scene, I'm not going to get to that tonight. Tomorrow should see it updated, though. Also, I'm not quite done with my dice rolling spreadsheet. I fixed the part I was supposed to fix, but then I got overeager, and tried to add a couple other features. Rolling damage for when the attack is successful. It turns out there are a lot of variables in that, which are kind of tricky to work out in Excel. I think that for tomorrow, I'll just use what I have, so I can get the gor-ram turn posted.

Since this thread is also kind of like my blog, here's some other stuff going on in my life:

I was in a group who applied to compete in the SUIT competition. UW chose another group over us. :(

I have decided to apply for a 4wk study abroad program to the Netherlands. It will be at the end of August / beginning of September. 1wk in Amsterdam, then 3wks in Rotterdam. Before that, Sabine and I are going to spend a week touristing around France. Or Belgium. Or Luxembourg. We're not sure yet. We know it'll include Chartres, but everything else is still sort of up in the air. Perhaps I'll stay over there a bit longer, and "work". My company has offices in most European cities. If I can justify it to my bosses, they might even foot the bill for me. Cha-ching!

As some of you may know, I'm a big fan of Cirque de Soleil. I've seen six of their 22 shows, so far. One will be coming through the area in March. Another two will be here during the summer. A fourth will be on the East Coast, near people I know. Perhaps I'll get to visit one of them and catch a show. And, the best of all, two other shows will be nearby in Europe while I'd be over there. So, it'll be on like Donkey Kong. Oh, and the stupid Michael Jackson one will also be in Seattle... sometime like November. While I'm a Cirque fan, I'm not sure I want to go to that. Just like I didn't go to the Elvis one or the Beatles one (or the Chris Angel one) in Vegas, when I had a chance. This will be a pretty good year for this hobby of mine, I hope.

And, let's see... this last week, I paid off five credit cards. I'll be closing them once the payments clear. Only one left, now.

Oh, and... after three weeks without Starbucks (no caffeine, but also 1500 calories less per day), my belt went in an extra notch yesterday. If I started exercising, like my physical therapist suggests, I may cease being f'ugly in under a year.

Anyway, that's all I have to say. Thanks for reading. You've been a great audience.
