I've been listening to Daylight Again by Crosby, Stills and Nash.

The song Delta, from that album, is really sticking in my mind.

Caer Sylvanus wrote:Right now I'm listening to a little-known band called Calexico. I can't adequately describe them except they seem almost a musical equivalent of Castaneda. I looked around for a decent bio... www.icebergradio.com/artist/6498/calexico.html . Danlo, I can't quite say why, but I think you'd really enjoy them (though since I still haven't heard back from you about Dredg... ;) ).
I know them and I like their style. I always wanted to buy one of their albums.
Do you know the 'brother' band, Giant Sand? I bought one of their albums after I'd seen the vocalist, Howe Gelb, on tour (he also works as singer/songwriter). They're also quite good.

Today, the Error self-titled EP arrived from Amazon, so I've been listening to that. It's an odd quasi-industrial/electronic thing that sounds - to me, at least - like a hybrid of Pitchshifter and aspects of Marilyn Manson.

Error is a supergroup of sorts, featuring Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion, Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails and Gregg Puciato of the Dillinger Escape Plan. I bought it primarily to hear Brett playing industrial. As I say, it turned out to be not strictly industrial, but still a departure for Brett, though less so for Ross and Puciato. It's pretty good, and growing on me with repeated listens.

I keep hearing Dido's White Flag over and over. I like it so much I bought the CD. I almost never get into soft pop, but this one song is right for me. The rest of the CD seems pretty forgettable.

Yeah, you pretty much hit the nail on the head, Dromond. I'm thinking I'll go with Larks' Tongues In Aspic next, yes?

This morning it was breakfast with Brahms. The 2nd Symphony, to be exact. Now I'm listening to Mahler's unfinished 10th Symphony. 8)
