Well, it looks like I cannot take holidays without momentous events happening
I'll surely miss Montressor (and I hope he'll join a future P4) but I can understand all too well how swamped he may be with his doctoral thesis, so I'd like to wish him all the best, and to ensure he knows he's always welcome to chime in (in this thread or even - as Etzli - in the Hall of Lost Worlds).
As for extensions... thus far, only one player has sent turn moves; I'd like it if at least once in these last few turns we could get everything out in time, so - given also the amount of stuff going on at the moment - I'd like to only accept turns that come in before I start processing. And THAT I will start as soon as I have received enough turn moves (which, depending on the general lateness of everyone, might take some time...). In your case, Lore, I'd suggest you send me a draft of your turn moves, and then when you're done redefining your strategy, you send me the final version; this way, if I haven't started processing yet, I'll replace your draft with the final version, whereas if it was too late, you'll still have turn orders going into processing, even if the "draft version" is different from the final one. Would that be acceptable?

Well, I can't say for sure whether I would be available for a P4. In case I am, I sent Xar a PM regarding that, with a suggestion for which domain to play. If it is possible for me to 'bag' a domain for the next game, I would like to do so.

Let me think...
mmmmmmmm....
Nope.
First of all, this damned well better be a way premature discussion!
I have at least four domains in mind, any one of which I'd be happy to play. But I know some others are eager to claim one already. Heck, I've even read one person's P4 Revelation!
So maybe it should be addressed in some way or another.
Unless Xar wants to ignore it entirely.

Are you Xar?Fist and Faith wrote:Let me think...

If he turns it down, that's fine. The concept simply could not work with any other domain so, if I didn't get that domain, I couldn't participate in P4. As enjoyable as the game is, this is no big deal - it's just a game, and I'm a busy person.

After Xar letting us know he was safely back, ^this^ is the best thing I've read all day...Fist and Faith wrote:Unless Xar wants to ignore it entirely.
...although, I will admit someone approached me about allowing them to play a certain domain in P4, after I did my Aesir reveal. like, no way would I attempt to play that domain in a Pantheon age...
...after all, I am not of the line of Bhakti...
I think I'll stick with what I know...

...speaking of Aesir, back to work on my Turn...

We are not late yet!!!Xar wrote:As for extensions... thus far, only one player has sent turn moves; I'd like it if at least once in these last few turns we could get everything out in time, so - given also the amount of stuff going on at the moment - I'd like to only accept turns that come in before I start processing. We still have three days!!Xar wrote:... let's say the deadline for this turn is April 18th then!

I hope so.Calais wrote:Perhaps we shouldn't start talking about P4 and claiming domains until P3 ends. That could be a long time from now.
I only mention it because I will be basically gone from this site in about two or three days.

Well, already a few other players asked whether they could reserve a domain for a future P4... now, depending on the events of P3, the start of a possible P4 might be far off yet, and in some cases, those players who asked to reserve a domain unknowingly wanted to reserve the same domain, so I'd rather avoid these "advance bookings" entirely for now. Rest assured that when P3 ends and P4 possibly begins, there'll be plenty of advance warning for you to register for it and to discuss who gets what domain

Could depend on if the AllFather wishes the game to continue on Eiran (which is my hope), and if Deva's stated intention to "redress the defects in this AllFather experiment called Eiran" succeeds, I imagine...Xar wrote:Trust me, there are some gods who are trying to make sure it doesn't celebrate its third yearFist and Faith wrote:I sure hope so! ...although knowing cho, and her tendency of having good intentions backfire...
...oh, this next season should be interesting, to say the least...
