To meet all the tastes in the Watch, he could also divide the hairspace into thirds and grow one segment long, straight, and blonde. Preferably it should be on that side of the face that sports a full beard. The other cheek might be left bare for those in favor of clean-shaved visages.

Well it's settled then.
We look forward to seeing the photographs of our excellent suggestions Av.

My son has a mohawk, so they're still cool.
I cut a mullet back'n'th'day, but never found the courage to do a mohawk. That, and I needed my job.
I've just had plain old long blond hair, completely straight, most of my adult life. Nowadays it needs help staying blond (getting dark, not gray). But I feel the hair should match the brain. But, the darker the hair has gotten, the lighter the eyebrows... so I have to draw them on, or look like the Browless Wonder.
Why am I sharing this? Soon I'll be getting suggestions about shaving one eyebrow, dying the other purple...

Of course, I have seen colored eyebrows of late. No, really. One woman, who had almost no other makeup, had red eyebrows (maybe she mistook her lipliner for browliner) and a couple of people have had purple eyebrows. WHAT is that???

Just another way to shock the Establishment would be my guess, DotD.
Av -- pics or it didn't happen.
Batty sometimes shaves her head -- it fits better under her assortment of wigs. (She wore a blue bobbed wig to the dentist's office last week.

) She was white-blond as a baby but now she's what they used to call dishwater blond. Right now, her hair is about 2 inches long all around, and its natural color.

At work, been caught up in the aftermath of the Great Leap Second bug which affected half the web sites in the world (or thereabouts) Sat evening. It's like Y2Kgeddon all over again. Okay, maybe it's not the world's hugest problem, but who would have thought that one extra second would wreak so much havoc? I blame whomever is slowing the Earth's rotation down.

Other than being permablonde due to long bloodlines of blondes and redheads in both sides of the family (Well, what did you expect from Scandinavia? Light-toned hair matches better the color of snow.

), been tired today. Every flight I was supposed to catch yesterday was belated either due to an odd closure of the Polish airspace--at least this is what the airport worker told us after inquiring about blank schedule screens--or thunderstorms; one we missed entirely and had to go through hours of hassle with transfers. So that meant I was back in an actual bed around 3:30am with a workday beginning within a few hours. Luckily I'm able to fall asleep in buses and planes, yet the benches are utter neck-killers.

Ugh. Glad you survived the travel hassles, Frostheart.
WF -- why has the media not done a breathless countdown to this event, the way they did for Y2K?

You people cracked me up with the hair discussion... also I was amused by the expression "hairspace" ...the idea of partitioning a hairspace..

Check the tank. Someone has probably blamed Obama there by now. The one second thing is also probably at fault for italys poor performance and injuries in last nights final. Everyone knows italian footballers are tied very closely to the earths rotation and act as fine tuned instruments in that regard. Damn that Obama! He ruined the european football final...

The battle for Mallorys began right away after you left. It went on for several days and everyone from Murrin, Effy, Shaun, Iolanthe (who sided with Murrin citing british pride), the Dread Poet (who sided with effy), Babybottomfeeder, avatar, Jazzfusion (who mainly chimed in to flirt with Beebs), deer, Linna, Vraith, and Aliantha got involved to name a few. Loremaster had to come and sort it out by the end. It was crazy!
...
Perhaps I may know better what happened. I received an unusual PM recently.

I love eating the mangos from my backyard tree, but peeling them gives me itchy uncomfortable bumps on my hands.

Yeah, I don't think that the GF would be too impressed.
Iolanthe wrote:Shame, I loved the mohawk. Reminded me of the '70s. Don't see many around now.
Oh, they're coming back into fashion it seems. Another good reason to remove it.

Sorry, my hair is dark. (It used to be long...I grew it for 10 years in fact.) And I'm always clean-shaven. Not a fan of facial hair.

Av, you could dye it... but some like dark hair. And some like red. As for the shaved, long, mohawk etc, a lot got left out as well. Maybe do them all, like patchwork?
Ananda wrote:Oh, he is soooo hawt!!
Ananda, I see you agree with yourself from the PM

Though perhaps that's very agreeable
And perhaps the Mallory's war-related posts should have their own topic?

Maybe, but then really no one would even glance at it! Here they won't read it, but will still scroll by it.

It will be more like subliminal.

Plus at least one of the mods in here is really nice about off-topic posts.
MsMary, I wonder whether you're allergic to mangoes. That would suck. Hope you're not.
I forgot to mention yesterday that in the afternoon, I suddenly heard some music playing down the hall. A few moments later, a couple of the cafeteria workers rolled by with a freezer cart full of ice cream bars and stuff. We each got to pick out one for free. I got a Choco Taco.

Working for The Man has advantages sometimes...

Ice cream! That sound good. A place I used to work, we got a massage once a month. No, it wasnt just me getting massaged by my boss.

Well, it's *supposed* to be about how one feels today. I guess "feels" and "today" are fungible terms.

I feel like going off topic today.
I am making little dark chocolate cakes with yogurt tonight. They are in the oven now.
