They are all members of Geraden's family. Ruesha is the only one not of Geraden's generation.

Mikka is the only one to serve under Morn's informal command.
Malda Verone, Captain's Fancy targ officer, is the only one who never held a command position that we know of, the only one not mentioned as ever being Nick's sex partner, the only one not to play a significant role in the story.
