Trust a Kangaroolandish sheep to confuse snowmen with frost giants.

At least Owlboy conscientiously recalled the correct form.
Aye, aye, with this "loquacious" giantsona I perhaps ought to have surpassed even sarge eons back, but google Finnish introversion, and you'll be surprised I managed even this much spam.
Thanks everyone.

Owly and null have new milestones!

Congratulations on 6k Sindatur and congratulations on 36k Sarge.
ETA: If it's any consolation Frostheart, I've had the 'Frosty the Snowman' song stuck in my head most the day.

Congrats to the Sarge and Sindatur!
Sindatur's laconicity is almost the direct opposite of the Sarge's garrulosity (I made up both those words

).
I have noted that since Null has been promoted the post count has started ticking over again at a greater rate!

Thanks Io.

Words are valuable, one should not squander them.

Well this bugger's rolling around my brainpan. Perhaps it's contagious if you listen to it.

Thanks guys. Yea, I've slacked off the last couple of years. I'm mostly active in the Tank, but, alot of times it's tough to have an actual debate in there these days due to some of the debate tactics used, s, my posting has pretty dwindled (I still read alot of posts, though). But, hey, at least I don't rack up posts cheaply in Mallory's

, besides I have another board to feed (TrekBBS) with my SciFi/Fantasy watching discussion needs. Prior to my Doctor Who posts last night, my three previous attempts at posts in The Dr. Who thread (replies to Ms. Mary's posts, mostly) have been swallowed up by the Post Eating "Error Monster", and as they were long posts, I didn't reconstruct them (Must remember to always "Ctrl+C" before pushing post button, so he monster won't get me
Congrats on 36K Sarge

I'm confused. I see Owlie (
Auleliel) on FB quite a bit, but haven't seen her on the Watch in a long time...
Shaun das Schaf wrote:Congratulations on 6k Sindatur
Ohhh.
WTG, guys.
(although I find Owly and Owlie confusing. I'll stick with sin for sindatur.)

That's from the genre of music known as Viking Bad Ass right? I probably shouldn't have listened to it first thing in the morning. I'm awake now
Sin, the post-eating error monster, in its various electronic guises, long ago turned me into an obsessive copy monster. There's nothing worse, (well, there are lots of things worse but still...) than watching ones thoughtfully-constructed slabs of text go poof in mid air

I have found when the error 500 message come up, that if I refresh the thread, the post has gone through. When the "unable to connect to database" error comes up, then I backspace and resubmit. But I have heard that a post staying in the reply window when back spacing may only be a firefox function.

Yea, I use Firefox, and it seems it all depends on how and when it fails.
If it fails with that "Nobody is home" error that occurs around 4-6pm California time, than, there is apparently no "cache" for the post to be trapped in, for you to refresh and retrieve the post.
So, yea, sometimes the refresh works, but, not always

It's your browser that caches it, not the server. Hitting the back button after an error should show your post in the browser as it was before submitting.
Should anyway.
If my posts are long though, I do usually try remember to copy it just before submitting, just in case.
Congrats Sin & SgtNull.

Here's one posing in Iceland's coat of arms.

Glad it awakened you! I've noticed the very same thing with this type of music when my brain sometimes resembles a trodden-on slug during early mornings.
Yes this is bad ass Icelandic, but I can tell that Finnish feels even scarier with all its hard double consonants and RRR
RRR-infested words. The French claim this most noble ancient tongue sounds as if we were swearing all the time.
